^Thank you.
I also think she looks exhausted.
Didn't the picture with Mel already happened? If so then I wonder to who is Sue talking to. And if Lynn really is playing some kind of a game with her. Because if she does then I'm deeply sorry for Mel to suffer so much because of it. She's already lost everything, dignity included. Maybe Olivia will step in and Sue will start a war with her too? I don't like that Mel end up being sexually assaulted so I hope Olivia will stop it somehow. The sooner it ends the better.

When Lynn says "the game is over" but has a bright face expression
For me she looks tired and exhausted cuz of her condition
Well exhausted but not sad or angry :) And the small pieces in the air might be torn up paper (wishful thinking) So this part we haven't seen yet nor the pic with Sue. And from just that one pic can't tell whether Sue says the words or someone else. Could be someone else exposing her finally (fingers crossed) :)
As for Lynn working with Sue against Mel - from what we learned about Lynn so far - especially the way she feels bad if people get in trouble becouse of her - I don't think she would do something like that. Even if Sue would promise her a new heart.
I'm on the verge of dropping this. Glad a break showed up.

(That post was old... there is no hiatus ahead)

Lol since the break it has gotten much worse ^^
But Sue is for sure on her high point right now - from now on it will be going down hill for her and Mel and Lynn will get their happy end
I tried to give Sue a chance but after ch58 I'm unable to.
Lynn better end up working hard to earn Mel's trust back too. I hate the way she broke up with her.
Wonder who's gonna step in first: Olivia or Crystal. Olivia is the only witness of this assault and she's also the only person who knows about Sue's crimes.
I just hope this stepping-in will happen fast... don't want to see the next 2~3 chapters of how Mel gets abused while you see only at the side what the others might or might not plan to do :(
(I kinda knew after chapter 57, that I should have made a break for seeing the next 3~4 chapters all together but my will to resist was too weak sigh)

Ah, my bad. I knew there was a recent hiatus... anyway. Paint me confused for a moment.
That said... I went through a rather similar situation like this years ago (minus Sue that is) to where I understand very well how difficult this is for Lynn. But I also know how how difficult it can be for the loved ones and how reconciliation can be just as hard if not impossible.
It is not only that Lynn broke up with Mel, but how she did it. I understand why Lynn was so harsh, I doubt Mel would have accepted it otherwise, but now Mel may to subject to domination and abuse from Sue? I am sure that the story will resolve the main issues and Mel may come to forgive Lynn or may never even come to blame her, but moving on and repairing an emotionally and sexually intimate relationship is another thing. I have a hard time picturing a "happy" ending where Lynn and Mel are back together.
I'm really hoping that Olivia will do something about this. I liked her at first, but not after she started having sex with Sue. It isn't that Olivia is sleeping with Sue, people have their pleasures so whatever, it is that before this I really thought Olivia was a sort of friend to Mel. Not someone real close, but a friendly connection with lustful joys yet also someone Mel could talk to. Olivia with Sue... It felt like a betrayal to me, so while it would be nice to see Crystal again, Olivia has to step up here.

^What Sue is doing to Mel is sexual assault IMO. She forced her into it and it's clear Mel didn't want it, doesn't enjoy it and is scared. She's also resisting very hard. So I agree with you when you say it's difficult to picture a happy ending right now. Because even if Mel will forgive Lynn she may never be able to trust her with her body. Mel allowed Lynn to please her only once. And it was the very first time after her relationship with Sue had come to an end so it took many years for her to trust someone this deep. How can Lynn repair the damage she did, how can Mel intimately trust her again? I have no idea...
Olivia has to not only step up but also reveal everything she's seen. Faking lab tests to prevent a heart transplant is a serious crime and Sue has to face justice. I'm tired of both of them already so this part better get solved fast.

I agree and didn't mean to take away from the severity of recent events. This will more than likely bring Mel continued pain for some time to come. I was thinking of continued abuse if Olivia or someone else doesn't intervene. What I experienced was just the severe illness aspect. The feeling of being a burden, not wanting or allowing people to care for you and ultimately pushing them away. These things alone, the relationship damage it can cause, are hard enough to overcome and reconcile over without Sue's actions and what Mel has been and is going through.
For Lynn, it can be downright terrifying living with the thought of death and to let people in when living through such an experience. She had no idea breaking up with Mel would initiate what is happening and she is not a malicious person, so given her personality she too could very easily break down completely if she finds out. How will Mel ever be able to talk about this with her? And even if Lynn can forgive herself, and if Mel can trust her again, could Lynn even bring herself to touch Mel as Mel had let her before? I'm just as worried and feel just as bad for Lynn as I do for Mel. Both of them are being tormented.
Agreed as well, Olivia has to share everything she knows and everything she has seen. Sue should be jail by the end of this and those are great questions you have as well.
And... I'm not sure why I am hesitant to say it; and considering only the characters we know so far; going forward I could see Grace making another appearance to console Mel. As for Lynn, I could see Crystal or even Olivia being there for her. I dislike what Olivia is doing, but I don't dislike her character as I do think she can be a caring person and she does have some solid wisdom to her. It gives me hope that she will do the right thing here and I would like to see a mix-up of the relationships if Mel and Lynn can not reconcile.

As for Lynn, she seems to be much stronger than Mel and I'm sure she'll want to be there for her if she ever finds out about what happened (crossing my fingers for Crystal to tell her somehow). It can actually push her to want to live more than ever. The question is - will Mel let her close enough again? From what we know about Mel is that she's alone and she shouldn't be alone after this. Crystal is her friend but Mel never shared her past with her. The only person Mel opened up to was Lynn and she seems to be the only one who can comfort her. So if Mel pushes her away, I, like you, can't see a happy ending. We know the story is nearly over so I already suspect that ending will be rushed up at least in some parts so I hope it won't be too illogical and some things won't get ignored.
^ Indeed, Lynn has been there for Mel. She can be pretty strong when need be and living as she had with her condition is a strength as well. But the issue with Grace wasn't something Lynn had a direct, personal influence on. The situation with Sue, there is a much stronger possibility that Lynn will blame herself which would justify her belief of being a burden to others. And now that assumed burden has hurt someone Lynn loves.

I can see Lynn being pissed off and wanting a revenge instead of breaking down tbh. It's Mel who's always blaming herself for other people pain and suffering, it's also her who wish to take this suffering from them. This time it'll be her suffering so she'll be the one in need. I can't see Grace being able to help her. Crystal, maybe to some degree but not too much either. Lynn should, and I hope will, fight for her. This whole sick situation is still possible to get fixed if it's done the proper way. And if the author will give them enough time to deal with the consequences of what happened. I'm not sure if Lynn will be able to act right away due to the fear of Mel losing her job... But she may act hidden. She's not stupid, she had to know Sue is up to something. She just didn't know what exactly and how serious it is. So yeah, I can see her being pissed off like never before.
^And I think that's why I hesitate. I do think Grace is better off where she is and the only connection I make is that Mel and Grace now have similar experiences, but then again It wouldn't be the best pairing and... yeah, a lot would have to happen to make that work. I just thought it may work as even at the very end, Grace wasn't fully accepting of letting Mel go, but best is for the best likely applies here. I'm not thinking romantic pairings necessarily, but temporary relations that can lead to being of help to individuals and the situation as a whole.
Yes, I don't think Crystal would be someone Mel could fully confide in. She'd be able to push Mel in the right direction I think, but not be the one to walk a path with her. I do think though that Olivia is the one to tell Lynn about what is happening and while an unlikely pairing, Olivia is sort of a neutral party when it comes to Lynn. There are the side connections that bring them together, but nothing direct which makes Olivia someone who can help Lynn understand more and for Lynn to confide in, even just a little. And my whole basis on seeking other characters is based on it hard for me to see Lynn and Mel getting back together. But we shall see.
I agree, Lynn is a smart girl and does often face adversity with her head up. Pissed at herself and the situation, but I still believe both Mel and Lynn are going to need someone after this whether it is each other or not partly because Lynn does not know how serious things are. They're both suffering, so I think both of our thoughts are viable possibilities.
Considering what is happening, Mel's employment is the least of worries.

Grace was beaten, not sexually assaulted so the experience is competely different IMO. And yeah, can't see them together either :)
If Mel didn't trust Crystal before then I can't see her trusting her now. It'd be OOC for her.
I think Olivia is a coward so I'm not sure if she'd be the one to tell Lynn... Crystal, yes. Olivia... I just can't. Maybe she'll surprise me though.
I don't think Lynn is suffering nearly as much as Mel. It looks like for now she gave up with her life, she's waiting for death to come and get her. All of it will hit her later. She made a huge mistake and the one who's paying for it right now is no one else but the person she tried to protect.
Mel's employment should never be in danger. There's no rule that says doctors can't operate on their family, friends and generally people they care about. They often do so because there're not many specialists in this world.

^Grace was being abused, possibly sexually, and someone tried to kill her which resulted in a coma instead. The commonality is abuse and that can be discussed together no matter the form of abuse. That said, I miss Grace so that might be part of it, but otherwise the thought of her being able to help Mel is gone.
Mm, I think Mel was just being stubborn with Crystal and Mel thinking she was a bit invincible. I think Mel learned that keeping those details to herself wasn't such a great idea after all. The only reason Mel didn't lose her license was because Grace woke up and could identify the person who tried to kill her.
Even cowards can do surprisingly courageous things when they need to, so I too hope for it as well. But if Olivia really is a incapable and nothing can get her to act, she'll stay in that closet and never say a word to anyone. I understand though. I say it could be her easily enough in a post, but in my mind I'm also thinking of numerous things that would need to happen, so I do appreciate your comments greatly.
True, but you said Lynn might not act because doing so may cost Mel her job.
I don't like to compare people's individual suffering. But waiting for death can be its own kind of suffering, especially when death takes its time or ignores you. Doing nothing, but wasting away hurts too.

^Lynn thinks that if she acts Mel will miss her job and I'm afraid the author has no idea it's wrong because she made Sue yell her at Mel about it before.

Crystal is her friend but Mel never shared her past with her.
They are best friends from a long time. She knows her past. (You should re-read ep18 & 21 :) )

Hm. Will do then. When I'll find some more time. But does she know about Sue, her marriage and scar?

It wasn't mentioned in the story but I'm 90% sure she knows. Mel moved out from that city for a while after a break-up. I think Crystal would know the reason.

I must admit I'm impressed by not only calling the things by its name but also for Olivia's behavior here. She really did step in and she really, really is ready to destroy Sue. Giving Mel documents just like that, wow. And if Crystal is on her way they can arrest Sue right there, right now. They have everything they need - test results and eye witness of both - faking those results and sexual assault. Can't wait for the next week's chapter. I haven't felt like that for quite some time with this story. I'm really interested how it'll be solved.
