Well, I don't have the best history with playing with meds.. let's just say that the dosing is a bit off. Right now I'm being treated for anxiety and temp. depression, but the meds seem to be working wonders. The bad thing is the fact that they make you more hungry as a side effect, which means I;ll gain weight v:

It irks me every time Saber's gender is brought up, like how her swordsmanship is impressive because she's a woman. How Kiritsugu got upset at how ppl "pushed" all the responsibility on such a young girl. (Well, it would have been worse, imo, if seeing that she's a girl, they ignored her and didn't let her be King.) Ugh. Because if she had been a young boy, it would have been more acceptable, because a young girl's childhood/innocence is more important than a boy's. Meehh they're like, ppl from older times but still. For femininity to be associated with weakness still bothers me.

Well, just cus you saw THE BEST doesn't make other things less enjoyable, imo :P I liked it, though rather than time-traveling, I was more focused on the mystery/thriller part, how he has to integrate his role as a young boy and figure shit out. I kinda like that, the kind of plots that have children in crime-centric plots vs the world of adults, I find it highly interesting, + his relationship with the other children.
I'll have to watch Steins Gate one day too

Well I didn't really like the MC, and the way some character behaved was not really realistic, like the blond-haired boy who was way too smart for a child like that, or the MC itself who sometimes behaved like a real child although he's supposed to be 26? years old.
+ the culprit is obvious once you watched the second ep. But it is still an enjoyable show with a good animation, and that's not too long !
You HAVE to watch Steins;Gate.

@Utoptia Yup, the yuri kingdom keeps me tied in here, but it's the type that makes being a prisoner something positive.

On the bright side, there's Fem MC x Tamamo/Nero Saber in Fate/extra (CCC) ^ o ^ Now if only the Fate/extra anime featured the female MC instead...but the chance of that is likely very low; which is sad, I want to see Nero Saber x Fem MC being animated ; - ;

Still, could be worse, they could animate the Sakura route of the CCC game...

I'd like to see that too, they may eventually animate it.

Ufotable is going to make a trilogy of the heaven's feel route, so you'll end seeing a sakura route, even if it's not the CCC one.
And I'm so happy that it's Yuki Kajiura who will make the music <3

That's the bad thing about meds; most come with some side effects...
Maybe your body just has to get used to them...
But you should definitely talk to your doctor if you feel like the dose isn't right...

It's great that meds like that exist and I know that some people really need them – not just temporarily like in your case. But I find it kinda depressing that you can change your emotions with just a little pill... That makes our emotions sound so meaningless somehow... Like it's all just nothing... A malfunction in your system... Same thing with sleep. You don't sleep properly for a while and the whole world starts to look so dark and annoying. Then you sleep good for a few days and everything's fine again...
I know how the human system works but I still find it kinda strange sometimes...

I can see why people would assume that, but honestly, it was the last user I'd expect to ask that.

Well, the doses are alright I guess since 1 week after starting them I'm feeling mostly fine. We'll see, plus they\re not a permanent solution.

Well, I cannot really say that same, as I know plenty people with chronical depression for 25+ years.. I get where are ya coming from, but honestly, once you need those meds, the rest of such reasons become useless.

It's just... well, you know, I always look for a deeper meaning behind things – we talked about stuff like that before ;) - and I know you're more down to earth about it but if you look at the bigger picture... Basically it's human emotions that created the world we know. So you'd expect emotions to be something more inviolable and meaningful. But if it only takes a tiny little pill to change it all in the end, then it really comes all to nought...
I know I'm a romantic ^^ I just want things to be special – even though I know they're not...

I do agree that emotions played a crucial role in the creation of this word, but the same goes for its destruction. Both reason and emotions compliment each other.

I don't agree with you on the part of meaningfulness; emotions are just chemical reactions, we give them meaning by choice.

The boundaries of something special are constantly moving as well; what was once satisfied by magic and mysticism have different incarnations in today's world. Sure, there are lines blurring between such "special" things and reality, but the definition of former is constantly changing.

One may make a counterargument that antidepressants obscure our vision, emotions, sense of clear judgement and choice; after all, some have argued that death is the ultimate freedom.

I disagree with that tho. A reason and view on life don't have to be unobscured, there's nothing wrong with looking something from a certain perspective.

I've mentioned at one point that I subscribe to existentialism..
