Ena san did nothing wrong but she was picked on and bullied because she was "in the way".
Sae san doesn't treat Ena san well.
You could see her hatred to the point of saying everybody hates you, and she let her died.
Would any kind cupid who cares about love really do that to people?
I doubt it... (Though I still do not understand how cupid works, so maybe there are different kinds of cupids that treat love differently)
I would sometimes wonder, is this the i hate you until I want to kill you or intentionally left you to be killed kind of trope?
How did hatred ended up making someone a cupid, to the point of forcing Ena san to get a curse of unless X with Y or else...
That is quite a terrible curse ...

Yet the "transformation" was unsettling, maybe "overloading" a cupid with the magic bullets fills them with such envy that they might totally lose control ( the redding of the skin, the eye widening ) and unleash nefarious powers.
Which may have a "price" to pay losing the cupid status and became....well.... wathever Sae is now.
I think it was either Ena saying "How does it feel when someone fights back" or something to that effect, triggering Sae's memories of her own death that did it...
OR
Ena shot Sae with her own gun. A cupid being hit by another cupid's gun gets envious of not finding love, a cupid hit by their own gun might have that magic get... I dunno, 'inverted' or something. Because what Sae says after cursing Ena...
"I hate you." For angels who spread love, I feel like one that feels 'hate' might be the exact opposite of a cupid... whatever that might be.
I love this kind of storytelling where not everything is explained right away, it really helps expand the world... there's more than what we see. Inee's a great storyteller!

It's in the realm of possibility, the frames show a girl with a cutter which is presumably before Sae dying for the first time in the starting timeline of events, from what I could understand Sae( Sugimoto as the girl said) bullied a girl similar to Harumi to the point of no return and thus getting killed herself by the person who she bullied.
Then as "vengeance", probably subconsciously at the start, Sae as cupid kills Ena, raise her as a cupid trainee and starts to bully her to the same breaking point, triggering the memories of her death and the consequential falloff.

Here you can see Sae pointing herself in the head with her own gun yet SHE DID NOT FIRE:

Anyway it's possible that 1 bullet froom you own gun is not enough, at some point we see Sae screaming of envy by Ena own gun barrage, but after she get shot with her own gun point blank again and again she starts to break and spits the opposite of love, in this case "hatred" towards her lookalike killer in her precedent life.
You can literally see the character in the same pose in the two pages:

Harumi and the girl who killed Sugimoto both had the same glasses, that's why Sae choose to mock Ena with heart shaped glasses, she subconsciously remember her and this hates her.
Ena is a substitute to her "vengeance" against her killer.
The culmination of such hatred is the unleashing of the loop curse withe blackness pouring from herself.
I saw this as a mix of hatred, envy and despair nullifying all the gifts of the love goodness and transforming her in a "fallen angel" (?).

Amen, considering this was at risk of getting axed...shivers.

It should be fine, volume 2 got reprints in Japan and volume 1 got released or is about to be in the US, Korea, Taiwan, France, Germany and Brazil.
great to hear
Cupids murdering humans is a can of worms that I did not expect to get opened. I guess now it's more likely that Koharu was also killed by a cupid. Also, now that I read ch 14 again, I realized I somehow totally missed Sae was a cupid posing as human...
WAIIITTT. The reason Ena was reincarnated so quickly was bc she died on her birthday (cupids only revive on their birthday) which is much more depressing than I wanted. Also maybe cupid's need a mentor to revive? Perhaps that's why Koharu came back after 5 years, and Ena on the same day - Sae was already there to bring her back.

just realized that Sae used her cupid hypno eyes on Hasumi when she told her that nobody cared about her. if that has any lasting effect, it might have really messed with Hasumi’s head, even after she became a cupid.
it’s also really sad that we haven’t seen Hasumi cry even once through all this. she’s just been swallowing it all up. when the dam breaks it’s going to be violent. :(
Re reading this is a joy, the author puts in so much detail and foreshadowing.

I have a prediction that Kanna is involved with Koharu's death.
Kanna was using Koharu's match making capabilities to gather karma. Perhaps Kanna didn't want Koharu to fall in love until she had enough karma. But when Aki confessed, maybe another cupid was about to shoot Koharu and Kanna tried to stop them, a cupid fight, that might of caused the accident that killed Koharu. (A stray bullet hitting a construction worker)
That might be why Kanna is being such a protective mentor. She might feel guilty. So she's fast tracking Koharu's karma gathering to return as a human. And promised she'd find her a compatible target to fall in love with.
I'm seeing hints towards some connection between them, but maybe im reading too much into it.
