Chapter 6 brings back some memories. I got attacked by a huge crow once when I exited Kamakura station. It appears I was walking in the direction of its young that had landed at a bus stop and had trouble getting away, and its parent obviously just wanted to distract me. Its claws hurt a lot! I still wonder why it only attacked me though and not anybody else. Maybe Japanese crows don't like gaijins?

Well you see, it is a sound effect with a very deep meaning. It represents me being a failure as a translator (especially where sound effects are concerned).

But mainly it represents someone's face simply glowing with joy and excitement.

Oh goodness, I hope you didn't make this account just to respond to little ol' me. That said, you're not a failure! I even noticed it in katakana, I just couldn't make out the onomatopoeia.
