This is really sweet and beautiful. Can't believe she became sort of a trophy wife to the one she swore she'd support from high school, and actually got her to be successful!

Simply beautiful. I somehow really like this type of stories, sounds like something that you'd see in real life.

Really don't know why Ashidate went and tried to start shit. She could have just pretended she didn't notice or even played nice, but she had to try and go out her way to be a jerk thinking she would win something out of it. Serves her right.

I noticed halfway through the story and then had to keep checking the hair to confirm blonde gyaru “delinquent” with beauty mark (Yukie Ayano) turned into “career woman” who cooks all the food in the house (except sweets) and the calm, “plain” girl (Shouko Yoshino) turned into the lesbian bar owner who hangs out with friends and was afraid of finding anyone from their past. Possibly not for her sake but for Yukie’s sake.

Not quite; Shouko is the cook. Yukie can only make pancakes, "I'm in charge of sweet things".

I hadn't noticed the beauty mark on my own, but I did figure out they swapped hair colors in adulthood.

Thank you! I reread the story after you pointed this out and it all makes sense now.
