okay so i got myself a datemate (gender neutral term for romantic partner if yall didnt know) and we've been playin arcade games n shit on my laptop at lunch. basically i need more arcade games that are good for atleast two players at the same time. i dont need any download links or nothin, just the name of the game so i can find it. so far i got:
mr.do, gauntlet 2, all variations of pop n' music, rampage: world tour, bubble bobble, and zupapa!

i figure most of yall on here are FUCKIN NERDS (please interpret that as a term of endearment), so throw recommendations for arcade games at me yo

Castle Crashers and Ascension: Towerfall are the only ones that spring to mind right now. Not real arcade games I guess but they allow for local coop and are pretty easy on the hardware. You need controllers for Castle Crashers though.

You can look on Steam for Local Coop if you want a pretty big list. And there's always Worms.

not what i was looking for but okay. honestly not a fan of either of those games. plus they wouldnt work anyway without getting them through methods of Dubious Legality (i cant run steam on this comp- its a school computer, and id have to get a cracked version of the games, which id Rather Not Do)

not a fan of golden axe from what ive seen. its too generic, yfeel me? if i wanted a game like that i'd play one of the many dungeons n dragons arcade games yknow

lol, if anything it's the D&D games that copied off Golden Axe, which preceded them by several years. But if you don't like it, you don't like it.

what about puzzle games? if you like Bubble Bobble, maybe give Puzzle Bobble a try? same characters but different gameplay. or Puzzle de Pon which plays similarly to Puzzle Bobble. Puyo Puyo/Puyo Pop are pretty fun. Super Puzzle FIghter 2 Turbo is great as well. Mr. Driller also has multiplayer iirc. Magical Drop and Money Idol Exchanger are also pretty good.

oh, and how could i forget Windjammers. extreme pong at its finest.
