I think this is why it's better to wait till the official translations since i assume TG are the ones doing the actual translating themselves.

There would be no kind of translation could point out this, I think, since English doesn't have this kind of formal language xD, so I always like it better to read in Korean since I can get the feeling better

Edit: No, I don't think it's TG who did the translation XD

here is Sungji's first trial from ch35:

btw, the official translation drops all the honorific, for example: Seju would call Sungji: Ms. Ju, and the later would call her: Ms. Baek.. no team leader or whatsoever, you have only: Ms. Seong

That's not really a good translation then, cause as Sungji's position, she can't even has the right to call Seju by "Seju-ssi" or her surname =))))), that's very impolite of her, she has to call her "sajangnim", aka "President" or "President Baek" XD and that's what Sungji call Seju, btw

Maybe they're not using a direct translation but translating it to english formal language?

Uhm, maybe? But isnt in English language, when you're a subordinate, with your boss, you also dont go for their surname? like Mr. Cullens but go for Director Cullens instead? so isn't President or President Baek better translation?

Calling someone Mr [surname] or Mrs [surname] is formal. I mean you could call them Mr President or Mr CEO if you want but it's not a hard and fast rule. To be honest when being introduced to a CEO they will generally introduce themselves with their first name. If you haven't met them then Mr [Surname] is fine and a formal term of address.

Edit: I call my boss by his first name, his boss by his first name and the state operations manager by his first name. I'd call our CEO by Mr [Surname] though. First names are informal.

I know xD, but if you go with that translation, people cant see the real difference between the way Sungji addresses Seju and the way Seju addresses Sungji xD, they'll all think it's the same when honestly it's different xD, since you have actual word in English to translate to, honestly we could go for it for readers to know that they are addressing each other differently xD. But well, it's not important, so that's ok, really.

Tell me about it =))))))))), bet my wallet that all of the girls in wdtfs dont like pink =)))))))))))

But really, if there is a story called Seju and her harems, I might read it xDDDDDDDDDD

I'm start wondering if there was an asteroid hitting wdtfs once, wiping out all Seju fan clups from middle school and high school days as well as Seju cafe fan clups located everywhere in Korea. I'm sure those existed. xD

There is always something that gets missed in a translation lol. You gave a pretty good breakdown earlier.

^ Actually I think you can still see the difference. We already know Seju is the president so doesn't have to call her Ms. Ju and can call her by her first name (which is informal).
Sungji on the other hand, if we are going by English etiquette, still has to call her Ms. Baek as Seju is her superior.

She can if they're close enough =)))))) but it has to have Seju's agreement on that xDDDDDDDDD, cause that's already an informal word xDDDDDDD. She has to ask first if she could call her like that, and if and only if Seju agrees, she gets to call her that =))))))))))))))), she can't jump to call Seju that right away no matter how much she wants

Yeah, maybe that's why there is no girls admiring Seju's beauty before meeting Sumin =)))))))), no girls lining up for her even before Sumin appears to take her away from Sumin first @.@, I could've done it to prevent her from going psycho later =)))))))

Btw, Nora, since next chap is probably about sex, I might not read it when it's out, kindly tell me if there is any other interesting thing to read, I'll read it if there is, if not, then no :), I've had enough useless sex scenes in wdtfs :).

Yeah sure.. but it is a yuri after all hehehe it has to have some fan-service scenes.
I can anticipate some more severe power dynamic issues.. Let's see

This reminds me of how my friends used to ask me about the same thing :p so I'd say yes.

As for the next chapter:
We know the sex scene must happen, but with 5 chapters left and all the unsolved things, it'll feel like a waste of time.

Well, I was arguing that Sumin is the kind of person who takes her emotions to bed. In a sense that she expreses how she really feels during sex. In addition to that, there is a huge shift in power dynamics as well, that can also affect how comfortable/intimidated does she feel. If that is the case, even the scene would not be a mere sex scene.
