What's the deal with Fujieda Miyabi and Minamoto Hisanari? When I read Wife and Wife I assumed it was by Fujieda, except it wasn't, they just have near-identical styles, and they both worked on Alice Quartet together. Is Minamoto Fujieda's ghost-artist or something?

Minamoto was/is Fujieda's assistant.

All manga art-styles look similar in some way or another. But even though thats true, I still love it. Its so cute I can't get enough of it :D

Then it is natural for her to absorb the techniques... Hmmm is funny bcoz today I saw an episode of Mangaka-san To Assistant-san To x)

It doesn't happen all the time, the guy drawing Boruto couldn't keep up with the art style of his predecesor as I (and many others) would expect

Obviously assistant will try to copy their master art style. After all entire reason for having them is so they will help you with your work, so they have to draw the same way as you, so people won't be able to notice it. Alternatively they handle backgrounds and/or filling up with ink. Being a assistant is really good way to gain experience and learn from professional, but you need to be careful. From what I remember you should be a assistant 2-3 years max because after that point, getting rid of your master habits and developing your own style is really hard.

Hey, be glad Minamoto can mimic so well Fujieda's style, other assistants aren't as talented to do that. Like the guy doing the Boruto manga.
