Hmm no I completely agree with that comment. If someone came over to my house, who has been continuously hanging out with my child (who’s age could range from 14-16) and then one day came to my home and to apologize for spending the night with my kid, all the while being an adult. Yeah no I would have been pissed.

Oooo this might be the only chapter that kinda really ticked me off, I feel as though the reason why it did was obviously. Yk, saying that you’re only a couple if it’s with a man and a woman. Woof yeah no I’m really mad abt the fact that the anime was in the wrong order. Because that’s what I started with, so when the anime finished (which I was kinda annoyed about cause what was that ending) and I went to find the manga to continue the story, I quite literally could not find where the anime ending left off. I had to go all the way back and read the entire manga (which was fine but still)

Idk I still kinda like the anime, but there was just a lot of bad things with it too. :/

I'm so sad to see this go, but I'm glad it ended so beautifully, too.

Takahashi survived, but has become too normal to stomach eating anyone for a skinsuit, so she instead went home to the Gobi desert to live in solitude. Itou* spent 2-4 years searching for her in between finishing high school and starting college, eventually getting together the resources for an expedition to the Gobi to find Takahashi. Which she did. We're left to imagine how that meeting plays out, so in that respect you could call it a cliffhanger. But I doubt Takahashi's eating Itou, so this is probably ending with Itou joining Takahashi in the hermit life. Or maybe they raid a morgue together, who can say~

*: They started calling her Yuki, so I assume her full name is Itou Yuki. But I'm so used to calling her Itou that I didn't even realize I didn't know her given name...

Ah! Okay wait that makes sense now! Thanks for explaining it, I was just confused by the ending. Like I thought Itou or Yuki was just hallucinating because she was in the FREAKING desert for so long and that she didn’t actually hear the real taka, worm form or not. Cause previous when we got the sene of her suit getting the brick to the head, I also couldn’t tell if Taka escaped and it was actually her voice talking to Itou during that sene or if again, it was just Itou’s imagination to what Taka would have said.

Anyways though, I wasn’t expecting it to be a type of “Believe whatever you want the ending to be!!” I’m not really used to that. Still an awesome read! ANYWAYS THANKS AGAIN FOR CLEARING THAT UP AHHHH

Holy cow reading these comments were amazing, especially because I haven’t even read the chapter yet. But now that I have…while yeah, it was the most ethical chapter, FOUR PAGES OF COMMENTS for the FIRST chapter is a bit much.

While yes, there are plenty of things that Icked me out, like the fact that they (the trans??? Person??) bullied uhhh the black haired girl, just to confess over and over again after she had already said now was a huge problem on my part. Love bombing is LAME AND LOZER BEHAVIORRRRR, though it was nice that they apologized.

But gender wise, I mean the only real problem I saw was how calling someone who’s trans coded (…I think at least) a dickgirl…oh and the fact that the only reason (that we know of so far) that they changed their gender (expression) was just so the girl they liked might give them a chance. :/

Okay I only read the first chapter so far and I’m utterly hooked, I do think it should be tagged yuri. One, because of how the two MC’s interact (which could be platonic too ofc, but I mean…it could also be romantic), and SECONDLY because penguins are very well known for them being naturally gay. While the second reason isn’t really the best reason, but the author is already putting penguin comparisons on the first chapter, it’d be nice if they used the Mc’s to show that penguins can also be ohhhh ya know, gay.

Even if it’s never yuri, I’d still read it. The way it makes my guts twist is a high that is on the edge of the line of interest and genuine disgust. Also penguins. penguins are cool.
