^^^also dude literally in the same link you sent, if you look at the second definition thing, it LITERALLY SAYS that dude can be directed to people who aren’t men. in SOME cases (and let’s be honest, if you’re still In school this is more of a MOST case) dude is a gender neutral way to address someone. Okay literally bro I love them so much. They have so much chemistry in the anime that I was flabbergasted at the lack of support for them. Like WHAAAAAAT?!? ^^ really? For mako it seems completely one sided from Gamagori’s side. She shows more attraction to ryuko, I don’t think she really showed anything for Gamagori. Not once, at least nothing special. She treats him basically the same way she treats everyone else (except how she treats Ryuko) I mean for heavens sake Ryuko and Mako kissed, mako asked ryuko out on a date, mako (JUST mako) was literally ryuko’s anchor when senkestu lost it in her. Not saying anyone (here at least) is homophobic(especially because of the satsuki x ryuko shippers), but I genuinely think that more people would ship Ryuko x mako if one of them were a dude.

I could go on and on about how if we wanna talk canon, Ryuko x mako would be the most likely to come out and into a relationship. But that’s just me wanting to put reasoning behind why I ship this. At the end of the day people can obviously ship whoever they want.

I honestly have crazy beef with Gamagori x mako shippers it made me hate the ship more than I used to (just cause of the shippers on Reddit though)

I don’t think it was ever verified that the outing (date whatever ya want to call it) was the date that mako had mentioned she wanted to go on. So that part is really up to viewer interpretation, I saw it more as an epilogue to everyone in general (since we see basically the whole cast who were important) after the events of the war. Thats how I saw it at least. But yo Bugdevil be out here catching strays

Yo sometimes couples gotta fight, but that’s okay! It just gives them a chance to strengthen their bonds!!!

I literally despise mako x Gamagori, not because of the ship itself but because of the shippers I had the most unpleasure of interacting with. I could write an entire essay about how if we wanna talk CANON wise, mako and ryuko would be closer to having canon relationship than mako x Gamagori. Just because a ship is straight, doesn’t mean the two characters are more romanticly relatable. Though at the end of the day, ship whoever you want but I’ll literally defend Mako x Ryuko any day of the week.

^^^^^^^^^^Also yeah, mako x ryuko is a heavily implied relationship, same way with how Gamagori has an implied crush on mako (it’s never out right stated that he likes her, you simply have to use your context clues. Same with Nonons basically one sided crush w Satsuki. You also have to pretty OPEN minded to the fact that,while two girls can be super close best friends, two girls could be MORE than super close best friends) and so when Mako KISSED and asked Ryuko on a date, no duh people want to use that STRAIGHT (not really lol) canon fact to help push up their reasoning for their ship.

Not to mention their entire dynamic in the entire series. I mean MAKO (yes JUST mako) was literally her anchor for ykw (idk how to do the spoiler think so I’m just gonna be very vague) i think that’s heavily romantic, and im sure more people would be on board with that if Ryuko was a dude instead. I’m completely convinced of it too. More people would ship ryuko x mako if one of them were a man, I do think a chunk of it is because of homophobia. It’s not really a romantic series and theirs a lot of gooner bait scenes and (I’m pretty sure) it’s a male dominated show. (Ya can tell with all the pussy shots of oh you know teenagers-)

I could go on and on about these two forever but I’ll shush now
