Question for fashion experts: is that cardigan-over-summer-dress ensemble that some many girls in manga wear considered a hot look anywhere outside Japan? Just curious.

Sure, it was popular in England (at least where I live). However, recently the leather jacket over a sundress combo has been kind of replacing it in this area. Cardigan/dress is still worn a bit, but with older schoolgirls and university-age girls, the leather jacket/dress has all but completely replaced it.

With younger girls the cardigan/dress is still worn quite a lot though.

I don't get the feeling that Chihiro is in love with Aoi, more that she's possessive/jealous and wants to keep Aoi pining for her than let someone else have her.

I mean, Nao figured out pretty much instantly that Aoi was in love with Chihiro, and if they've really known each other that long then Chihiro definitely knows as well and she never acted on that. So I think it's more of the "I don't want anyone else to be close to her" than "I'm in love with her and want to be the one to be with her" kind of thing.
