I like seeing pairings I hadn't really thought of before. I don't think these two would go together as nicely if they were both as they are in the show, but a little catMaki makes it work perfectly! :>

Not even sure why some of you are so mad about this. There isn't really anything that's suggesting there's only romance between the two here. But Senyuu did draw UmiMaki doujin and since some of you get so mad over it I'll think about working on it soon I suppose :D

All these NicoMaki fans on a UmiMaki tag and won't just accept it. I mean Love Live! is one of the most shippable things out there. Literally ANY ship CAN work. The point to shipping has very little to do with canon, and a lot to do with imagination. I support UmiMaki hardcore. Love the ship. I also love NicoMaki. But pls stop going on other Maki ship tags and complaining about no Nico. Jfc there's gotta be a million NicoMaki stuff out there. Just let us bask in the UR UmiMaki PLEASE. -.-

"bad pairings" that's an opinion. I'm not saying you have to like it, I'm just asking you not to come on other pairing tags with a NicoMaki agenda and post only NicoMaki stuff irrelevant to the ship. But you're right just ignore the pairing if you don't like it...don't come on the tag and start commenting with your OTP that's irrelevant and honestly comes off rude and offensive to others who are trying to enjoy the properly tagged artwork of a ship they support. I'm a lurker mostly but I comment on cute artworks from time to time and its insanely frustrating to see extreme NicoMaki shippers on every freaking tag blaring about how NicoMaki this or NicoMaki that. I mean its a bit redundant the same people are posting the same stuff about NicoMaki on every single LL! pairing tag. It's a bit ridiculous having NicoMaki propaganda on an NozoEri artwork. I mean we get it. Everyone loves NicoMaki. Can we please talk about it only when and where it's relevant now? I want to comment on relevant pairings under the artwork it's tagged as. Everything isn't always NicoMaki. Please be kind and respectful to those who ship other ships.

I'm siding with YuriSenpai on this one. I can see situations where a pairing doesn't work (especially if they don't interact or are actually nasty to each other in the source) but that doesn't apply here. There's too much of this silliness going on lately, so it would be nice if we could keep a bit of a lid on it at least for a while.

^sorry if I offended you I really was joking. I wouldn't mind a MakiUmi pairing, they'd make a kick ass unit. The only alt. pairings I don't care for are MakiRin and EriUmi and that's only because they have distinct canon support.
@Kouhai I don't really see them all as shipable with each other. For instance say Nozomi and Hanayo, how would that work?
For the record, I'm not against it I just find it unlikely. Everyone is free to ship who they please except for NanoYuno, you people need to leave, now.

I just read the comments from above I remember YuriSenpai saying something like, "We get it, everyone loves NicoMaki." Not exactly everyone. Though I find the ship fairly cute, I kinda hate the ship. (They don't exactly look suitable together, is it only because they are leftovers and cant ship anyone with Honoka because she's the leader?) They never actually came to me as a ship when I first saw the series of Love Live. Other than that, all parings are beautiful. Alright I'm sorry.

NicoMaki isn't a case of the dregs being thrown together: they have somewhat similar personalities(they're both tsunderes) and complement each other fairly well(Maki being the naive rich kid and Nico being the poor jaded type). Different ships bring out different aspects of each character and the interplay between Maki and Nico hit a chord.

I just read the comments from above I remember YuriSenpai saying something like, "We get it, everyone loves NicoMaki." Not exactly everyone. Though I find the ship fairly cute, I kinda hate the ship. (They don't exactly look suitable together, is it only because they are leftovers and cant ship anyone with Honoka because she's the leader?) They never actually came to me as a ship when I first saw the series of Love Live. Other than that, all parings are beautiful. Alright I'm sorry.

NicoMaki isn't a case of the dregs being thrown together: they have somewhat similar personalities(they're both tsunderes) and complement each other fairly well(Maki being the naive rich kid and Nico being the poor jaded type). Different ships bring out different aspects of each character and the interplay between Maki and Nico hit a chord.

I agree with Demon Beast and everyone else who commented on shippers to not sink other ships, especially Nezchan since what they commented years ago(literally) is true and many people wish for. A lot of people complain about a ship when they willingly opened the art and that pisses me, I am a person who ships everyone with everyone and I am sorry that I sorta continued the rant.
