I firmly believe that both Umi and Maki can be shipped with any LL girl and it will look completely natural.

^ I don't agree, Umi is one the least shipable to me. The only ones which I find natural are Umi/Kotori Umi/Honoka and maybe Umi/Eri
Maki can be shipped with anyone (Umi aside, I find this one very awkward, they never really interacted with each other) , I agree about that x)

I think Umi's shippable to any members (maybe except on Hanayo) considering her personality (being the lenient one). Almost all of them are quite the aggressor IMO (except Hanayo). Yes. Even Maki's an aggressor (thanks to Ooshima Tomo's DJs for this fantasy).

I find Honoka to be the least shippable. (Of course course everyone could be shipped with their grade-members) But Honoka chose the "Recruit to µ's" option instead of the "Recruit to harem."

Umi and Maki works because one is the lyricists and one is the composer. I'd say its probably a head canon or off screen thing that they spend a lot of time together working on songs.
Nozomi always counts, always. Watch your words or she might washi washi you too. :P She's my favorite forever tbh.

@ari-chan - From what happens in the anime I think Kotori would like to have Honoka come aboard, but that doesn't work,
Really the only workable pairing for Honoka would be with someone outside of her circle of friends and µ's. Tsubasa also shows interest in Honoka so I ship Honoka x Tsubasa.
