To the people wondering why this ship is a thing, from the ho yay! tv tropes page:
"Frozen might as well have been called "The Love Story of Anna and Elsa", and no, them being sisters doesn't detract from it at all. The main conflict of the film is that they were once extremely close but were forcibly separated by their parents, which left them miserable, and the whole plot is about them repairing their relationship. The first thing they have to say to each other after being mostly apart for 13 years is commenting on how beautiful the other looks, and later Anna is stunned almost speechless when she sees Elsa in her new, more revealing dress. Elsa is severely upset when Anna announces her engagement, leading to her first serious bout of Power Incontinence. The trolls sing a song to Anna about how love is used to help and heal, which they intend to be about Kristoff but ends up being far more relevant to Elsa. Best of all, a "The Power of Love will break the curse" ending is set up, falsely leading the audience to believe one of Anna's (other) love interests will deliver a True Love's Kiss... only to turn out that it's Anna's love for Elsa that breaks it."
If you took out the fact that they are sisters, the gay would be even MORE obvious......though them being sisters is part of the appeal ;)

Needs an incest tag i think. Just saw this the other day- and their relationship does come across as almost more romantic than sisterly..
Made me wonder if it was deliberate, or they at least were aware of how it looked when they were making it?

I was simply amazed at the fact Disney was so ballsy as far as they went with these two. Makes me happy about the direction we're moving in as a society but man some things they did were risky af

I love Elsanna! And even though I prefer the incest Elsanna, I've recently read a AU with them not related to each other, but it's so cute that I like it anyway. It's A Snowflake in Spring, in case anyone wonders what the fanfic is.

I feel like from the shipping of "Elsanna" Anna is the dominant partner, not just because she is the most daring one or the type who is most expressive but also in a way she has this tomboy aura about her that's very cute in my eyes. Elsa on the other hand is the "obviously" more calm and collected, very lady like and more responsible, though she is very overprotective of Anna (which sometimes an overprotective partner is seen as the dominant one) Elsa is just far more innocent than Anna in some ways lol. This also kind of puts Anna in a more devilish role as well, while making Elsa a more of a "maiden" type of character (in my eyes). Which is why in my opinion I feel like Anna is the dominant in the relationship :D though having Elsa act outside of her shy collective character is also verry bueno!! :D

And I think I read somewhere that they added the sister part because they realized just how gay it all looked. Unfortunately, that obviously didn't work... so.

^ Hey, what are you implying about Amara and Michelle?
Also, is it just me, or is Anna crying in the 'forehead' panel? Fear of being friend-zoned, perhaps?
