Yeah, it's not always easy going down that road. But with time you might find a way to redirect those feelings and turn them into something more positive. Why do you think people created art? ^^

That's the thing, the reason we have such great art and music nowadays is because they're fueled by emotions. Then when we find that anime, song, movie, poem, etc that features the same emotions as us we immediately fall in love with it. Hell, It doesn't even have to be art, it could be just a person who we can relate to.

You often listen to laid-back kinda vibes. Perhaps you should find a couple of really intensely emotional songs that somehow reflect your feelings and whenever you feel that way, just turn on the music, crank up the volume until you can't hear your own voice anymore and just shout along with it. ^^ That relieves a lot of stress immediately. 3 or 4 songs are mostly enough and you instantly feel better and then you can focus on something brighter again.

I've actually been looking for anime that reflect those feelings and I've found one that really did good in reflecting my feelings, that one is A Silent Voice. You might've heard of it, Its a anime movie by KyoAni, Its really good. Watching It actually made me feel a bit better about myself.

Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, deadmau5 has to be among my favorite artists ever. It's just that your post immediately reminded me of the opening lyrics. Also I'd recommend listening to "While 1<2" (the album the song is featured on) It doesn't have similar sounding songs but it's still amazing. It's a really experimental album, I love it.

You know, the lesson I've learned is that you can run from a lot of things in life - if you're clever or just fast enough ;) - but the one thing you can never truly run from, no matter where you go, are your own feelings. Of course you could try to numb them or to work on ignoring them but that is no real solution. The only way is to face them head on and then, you have to find a way to work with them.

But on a serious note, it seems like a world all to myself would be really lonely. Thats why I like being here, because it's a world with different people all with different views and different idea's and different personalities. That's what's so great about the double edged spear that is life, theres so many different things happening at the same time flowing together so well and not so well and sometimes getting hit with the feeling that I'm plaguing all of that makes me feel bad at times.

Best thing I've read from Nagashiro, beautiful art, beautiful sex scenes and great story.

As a person who actually was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome this is most certainly a very pleasant surprise. The whole deal with taking things literally hits way to close to home. I've had way to many instances in my real life where a person would say something to me that's clearly intended as a joke, but I would still read to deep into it and sometimes even spend the rest of the day thinking about it, It's a really horrible habit of mine. Anyways, this was very nice to read and I honestly would like to see more manga in general feature autistic characters.

So, what I got out of this was a repeated joke that stopped being funny almost immediately, I kept reading to see if it would provide anything new but nope......Shame for something with such an interesting plot.

Does anyone have a thing you really enjoy doing but for some reason haven't done said thing in awhile because you're so unmotivated? If so, how the heck do you get motivated to do the thing again?

For me, that thing is the Violin, haven't played it since last year. Funny thing is that I just got back into playing it again after about almost two years of not playing. Like, last time I played it was when I played Decretum for my high-school talent show, it's definitely so far my favorite thing I played on the Violin. I still have zero clue why I haven't gotten off my ass and picked it up again, maybe it ain't even a lack of motivation but just laziness.....Lol.

Not to mention my new years resolution was to play the violin more.......

So I watched three things yesterday, the first episode of Pop Team Epic, the first episode of Citrus, and A Silent Voice. First off, Citrus's first episode, I thought it was awesome. It was a very solid adaptation of the first chapter, even though the character designs were pretty odd I still found this episode to overall very solid. Next up, Pop Team Epic's first episode, well, It was certainly something. No less than an absolute mind-fuck. I also thought it was pretty odd that they literally played the same exact episode twice in a row but with different voice actors. Other then that, just like Citrus, It was hella entertaining all the way through. And finally, A Silent Voice, my goodness it was an amazing movie. Among the best movies I've ever seen. Probably one of the most realistic stories I've ever seen, like, It felt like the movie was based off a true story. I couldn't recommend it enough. I'd highly suggest checking out A Silent Voice.
