Lol- the yuri fan obviously has an ulterior motive for trying to convert her friend to yuri.

Is this video footage of her even younger? Maybe the older lady has an age gap fetish and is getting off by watching footage of her gf from when she was a kid?

The boobs kinda bother me.

The character design is good, but the boobs are just "hentai boobs": oversized and too round. It feels out of place to me, if only because the story is kinda sweet.

^ They are certainly way too big for a high-school girl - to have both girls have such massive boobs like pornstars with implants is silly and spoils the realism - and I dislike big boobs personally anyways, so it made the erotic scenes a lot less so..

But I don't think that one aspect damaged the manga beyond redemption - I still like the story, even if it's simple.

You don't often see where a girl finds a new love like that - they normally either get their girl in the end, or don't and it ends all angsty, not find a new love.

I actually find most art for Splatoon to be really creepy lol! The octolings don't work as well as squidlings for me - they look bad/creepy like they are balancing an dead octopus on their head rather than it being like hair. And The cross eyes some chrs have looks weird in a bad way - and the black eye mask makes them look like deranged clowns etc.

Eromame is one of the few artists who I think can always make them look nice and cute!

Looking past that, I did still like this doujin.

I just re-read this and wanted to say this: I love Mimika! She is one of the best Yuri MCs for me, even if she is a massive pedo for Yuzu. And I intensely dislike the Lolicon genre, but this manga's one of my favorites.

Perhaps its because she is even less mature than Yuzu in some ways? Or because tho it is hard for her, she resists any temptations and is determined to wait.? After all there is no crime in what one thinks, only what one does.

I now know where it comes from and why she is saying it - but it doesn't explain why she chooses to call her mental technique of blocking her excitement by imagining her father 'kodama'.

The tn notes on 17.3 explain it can mean tree spirit (which I knew) and literally, can translate to 'echo' - and thus I still don't get why she chose to call it that since neither tree spirit or echo seem related?

Its not a big deal why that name tho, now at least I understand the meaning behind it. Just curious.

I really liked those extra bits - and the manga overall - though I thought the elementary school angst stuff could have all been cut - it wasn't what the story was about.

And As for the person a few posts back in mentioning Sakura trick - since when was that het porn yuri?? It was for fans of yuri clearly! Not straight guys who just get off on lesbians - they are not gonna like Sakura trick, which is about their romance and just has kissing! Sure it's not a great story or high art yuri lol - but it is pure yuri for yuri fans, just of simpler and comedic nature!

It also WAS using the kisses as part of its appeal but that was still appealing to yuri fans not hentai fans who do not normally watch yuri! Also, it was the first ever anime to feature LOTS of yuri kissing - EVER - and you have a problem with that?? It broke new ground for a yuri anime. There are precious few other shows with even 1 real yuri kiss! And just because there are better more quality serious yuri manga out there they could do, does NOT detract from it at all.

Is this still ongoing like it claims or is it finished? A quick look at the last page of ch42 makes it seem like that was the end. I don't want to start reading it till it is finished.

^Lol - I know right? Why not just do an actual young Nanoha doujin? Its like the vivid thing too - even tho we love Vivio, Nanoha fans were not asking for a battle tourney series of her and friends.

They should of just made more actual Nanoha, about the characters and setting that we liked in the first place. It is not the magic fights that made Nanoha great - that was just one aspect of it.

I get that she is a harpy monster girl, but a harpy is a monster in the full sense, and I assume must have none human teeth or they couldn't prey upon and eat creatures either - but monster girls like this, who are part of a society, live in a house, wear clothes, write notes, use computers, eat regular food? etc etc - I'd expect some concessions to practicality.

Imagine if centaurs had no hands and arms, just a human head? They couldn't possibly develop - couldn't make tools, buildings, clothes - anything. Same here - just not to the same degree. That's fine if you just have them as magical beings summoned from where ever - but not if you are having complex developed societies of them.

@ Ropponmatsu I didnt want to even get into that as well lol - her chest and shoulder muscles are way too small as are her wings, for her to fly on physics alone. I was just gonna let them get away with it and assume it is mostly magic that lets her fly - like Aya from Touhou or any other character with wings that are 10 times smaller than needed - unless they are meant to be ridiculously light.

Anyways that's enough on that point for me lol - it wasn't exactly a major point I have any investment in - if you are fine with her design then that's cool.

^ its not a thumb but a little claw thingy - and even if it can go up and down, without other fingers to work with all it can do is trap something smallish against her wing bone joint - you'd have very little control. No way could she use a pen well, or get dressed or do loads of things..

And I don't get why the silly design in the first place - whats wrong with wings from her back/shoulders, and arms too - like every other winged humanoid ever?

While I prefer monster girls who are a lot more girl and less monster, and ignoring the fact some of the designs are really silly and they wouldn't even be able to feed themselves, I have mostly enjoyed it so far.
