If I did have an inkling they might have a crush I would try to poke fun at it and make a joke about it ("wow it's such an honor to have a plot written about me kek" or something) and gauge her reaction from there. That is doable without reaching lesbian panic levels yet. But if I had no idea, or if I thought she was straight? Yeah I'd 100% wingman it
