I bought PoE are you happy?!

Now I've been creating a character for 30 minutes.

How is Pillars of Eternity so far? I blew my budget on DAI, so I'm only getting games that will run on sale this year, except for 1 or 2 yuri games from an indie publisher I usually visit. And there is my backlog too. Haha!

It seems pretty nice so far. Got that old school isometric feel to it with modern writing and interface. I also ran into a (very minor) yuri wizard romance in the first town!

Talk more about it...

It's just a backer NPC's memory that you get to read. They get pretty old after a while. I've stopped reading them. There may be more.

I've never played dissidia, I saw it in my friend's psp but I couldn't understood what he was trying to do... If they make a new one with lumnious engine I couldn't care less about mechanics and just enjoy the hype of the visual effects

Don't worry Dissidia is not for everyone, I agree with Kyonne you need to play a few matches to understand what the heck is going on.

Whoa I just had the largest winning streak at master orders with Rosalina...I REALLY hope she doesn't get nerfd too much remembers Greninja...fidgets

There are so many of these little stories in the game. I haven't been clicking those NPCs since Act 2 started. So as far as yuri content, well, those are the only two I've found.

Avatar is is indeed from one of the Love Live doujins. I can't recall which though.

SO. HYPED!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYwe_WHARdc

But to think about playing the first and second game makes me step back... Even if they say "you're no obligated to play the previous games" I bet there will be a scene when someone hooded/masked shows up revealing his face saying "It's been a long time my friend" and I will be like "..." and the witcher will be "Yes, how could I forget you?" so awkward :V That's why I haven't played Lord of Shadows 2

That aside... the game looks GORGEOUS ! maybe during vacations, I won't care anymore for the origins hehehe

I'm curious about those little stories, I will try to play it, probably lose a lot of time trying to read all these stories, I just hope my pc is good enough, and I hope that it have more yuri in it...

Well it would be nice if you could recall the doujin, but the art makes it obvious it probably have comedy, so it must not be too hard for me to find it if I search for it.

I've been replaying FF 12 slowly but surely amongst all the other things I'm playing/doing and I'm loving it.

I liked it the first time around but I think it's been underrated by many and certainly by myself in the past. It does a lot of things right that I did not give it credit to. It's now pretty high up in my FF tier list.

Oh yeah, FFXII is great, the only thing i can complain about that game is that the music can be quite uninspiring at times and the shared License Board that can pretty much make every character be the same Which is completely fixed in the International Zodiac Job System

Edit: Craaap, accidentaly opened a Let's Tap on a /v/ thread and now i'm doomed for the rest of the day

I never got the License board hate. Sure you can make clones but is that not the player's fault and not the system? You can make the warrior, the white mage, and any other archetype you want. To me it's the same as people mad at combat systems like Dragon age, real time but pausable. If you want turn based you can! If you want real time you totally can as well.

I guess such free system is like giving a rope. Some people will use it to their advantage, some will just hang themselves with it by mistake.

Edit : Anyone else played the FF 15 demo? Starting to feel really scared.

Yeah, but at the same time it's quite exploitable, heard reports about black mage with heavy armor being quite the something, i like the idea of committing with one job and dealing with the restrictions of it's own license board, although the zodiac system version has quite the useless job, poor Machinist can't catch a break

On other news i've finally beat Zone of The Enders 2nd Runner, only 7 hours to complete but maan what a game! Some set pieces are so chaotic and the effects so beautiful that i can barely believe it was a ps2 game running at 60fps
Can't really recommend the first game, but if any of you get the opportunity to play the second, do it!

60 FPS has been a thing for a long time but devs now prefer engines that allow you to put so much useless "immersive" shit on your screen instead. I hate them and their silky smooth 30 FPS meme.

Did the main character stop being a little bitch in the first game and man up?

Because I know he did in the second one

I didn't get that far in the first game to be honest, but he does seem to have a moment on that recap that's on the second game

I think ZOE1 and ZOE2 might be the most drastic leap in quality between sequels that I have ever seen.

The first one feels like a bad Gundam anime rip-off that got a quick game adaptation. The second one is like a super-robot simulator.

(the closest thing to a super robot simulator is Robot Alchemic Drive/RAD, another underappreciated PS2 game)

Actually, let me recommend RAD, now that I remember it. It's a loving parody of 70s mecha anime, where each part of the robot's body is controlled with a different part of the controller; you also have to run your main character around the fighting robots/city battleground (as the mecha is remote controlled like Giant Robo or Giagantor).

Like the EDF games, it has an impressive sense of scale for a PS2 game, but a bit of a shoddy frame rate.

You had three giant robots and three versions of the same protagonist (typical spiky haired mecha protagonist, cool older protagonist, and mecha nerd girl protagonist who protests that liking mecha does not qualify her in any way to pilot one.)

The best robot is the most experimental one, because that one has a super-powered mode with a dramatic, voice-acted countdown until the engine is overloaded. It can dive kick through skyscrapers, and if that doesn't sell you the game, nothing will.

Changing the protagonist doesn't change the story significantly, but changes a fair bit of dialogue (mainly, your own character's.)

Now that I remember where I am posting (it's been a while, I need to play again,) there was a thing if you picked the female protagonist.
Your character has a klutzy best friend with a tragic past (of course,) and her story changes the least
(looked it up; Nanao was the friend, Yui is the name of the third version of the protagonist.)

So, if you picked Yui, some of the dialogue is changed to be about close friendship rather than romance. However, if you focused on her side-story, Nanao still ends up talking about how much she loves the protagonist and you'll end up with her rather than the male love interest. It's a friendship that is straight as a rainbow.
