This was a refreshingly low-stakes drama, and uplifting to boot.
Lots of people are always quick to jump to the whole "they could get married in another country" comment, but let's face it, it's easier said than done for a multitude of reasons.
Huh. I've never been one of "those people" but honestly, I never thought about how ... most people just don't live in the Schengen Area / EU where you can do just that (sure, it's like a day trip, but most couples would do that anyway to have a nice location). Especially since the closest place to Japan with legal same-sex marriage would be the ROC.
