Joy, more straight male-oriented "yuri".

I wonder why they don't draw actual plotless hentai. The style is hot.

I don't mind pinups, even if the ones with "covered with lotion or other white fluid" go a bit far. It's the fakey, Katy Perry-esque "Ooh, I kissed a girl hope my boyfriend won't mind, tee-hee" bullshit that really irritates me.

Yes, I have no intention of forgiving Katy Perry for that. Especially since she stole the title of an actually good and lesbian-oriented song to do it.

Man I looked up this old unused account's deets just to ask. Why are so many people using this "male-oriented yuri" crap? Irks the hell outta me. It's like well goddamn I'm so sorry for being born male and apparently only liking plotless yuri. Actually sorry for venting, but damned if it doesn't feel like an stab every time I read that phrase. =(

It's just the term coined for it, so to speak...

Usually ppl around here look for substance on the content. When they see something that is JUST sex they call it that (even tho some girls also like that) or stuff teasing along the lines of how this mangaka does... Where there seem to be no explicit feelings just really awkwardly suggestive actions to keep it as "Hey look, girls doing ecchi stuff! Hey, hey, no worries, they are not lesbians, so you totally got a shot at it!" (at least thats the vibe to these), just like when in fanservice you got straight girls in the harem gropping each other in covers or scenes in an anime (bathhouse scenes, etc).

Like, I am a guy and I find these sort of mangas really irritating, I may like those that are just sex but I really can't enjoy it when there is little to no sign of deeper affection (a tiny bit of romance, dialogue which confirms their feelings or at least the feel of it suggesting that)

It's not technically 100% correct as a term. Don't feel targeted by it... cuz it is usually aimed at the piece of work and/or artist.

I don't always call it that or anything, it just seemed to flow well here.

Well, there's straightforward PWP stuff that doesn't give me that vibe. But this artist's stuff strongly comes off that way. In much the same way porn aimed at a lesbian market is noticeably different from that aimed at straight dudes.

+1 to that bit, especially the "you totally got a shot at it" part.

Ok...so I read the thing because of the ongoing discussion...and WTF? was that? what a waste of talent ugh...

@SterlingFacade don't take this kind of thing personally it's kind of a way of saying they are displeased not to mention this IS what most straight guys like...for a while I thought I liked this kind of umm "style" but how wrong I was. You have to understand that if you like "real yuri" you shouldn't feel offended, they are actually saying "stuff for dudebros", as far as I'm concerned there are no feminazis here.
