Joy, more straight male-oriented "yuri".
Man I looked up this old unused account's deets just to ask. Why are so many people using this "male-oriented yuri" crap? Irks the hell outta me. It's like well goddamn I'm so sorry for being born male and apparently only liking plotless yuri. Actually sorry for venting, but damned if it doesn't feel like an stab every time I read that phrase. =(
It's just the term coined for it, so to speak...
Usually ppl around here look for substance on the content. When they see something that is JUST sex they call it that (even tho some girls also like that) or stuff teasing along the lines of how this mangaka does... Where there seem to be no explicit feelings just really awkwardly suggestive actions to keep it as "Hey look, girls doing ecchi stuff! Hey, hey, no worries, they are not lesbians, so you totally got a shot at it!" (at least thats the vibe to these), just like when in fanservice you got straight girls in the harem gropping each other in covers or scenes in an anime (bathhouse scenes, etc).
Like, I am a guy and I find these sort of mangas really irritating, I may like those that are just sex but I really can't enjoy it when there is little to no sign of deeper affection (a tiny bit of romance, dialogue which confirms their feelings or at least the feel of it suggesting that)
It's not technically 100% correct as a term. Don't feel targeted by it... cuz it is usually aimed at the piece of work and/or artist.
