Yeah pretty much. Melt some chocolate bar and make chocolate related sweet / desert ( popular choice are cookies, truffle, cake, muffin...)

Note: if you're going to make milk chocolate from dark chocolate, I recommend you to use use cream instead of milk.
Or even easier, just buy milk chocolate

So if I use melted chocolate as a sauce would it be better than packaged sauces in stores. I want to use it on a cake.
