I think it's about 33% lonely Nico 3rd wheel, 33% she already has Maki or Kotori or Hanayo and is just being snarky, 33% they're just waiting for Nico to join in. For the NozoEli + Nico strips.

LimoRayX319 Nico got her magic cardigan from her dad. It keeps your breasts small so no one will jump you until you're 30. At which point, it's okay for Nico to date.

I think it is a NicoBana - the pah-nah is only after n or with a bu or pu sound that gets doubled. but anyway hanayo is about to run her hand inside Nico's bra. I think that counts.

I think it's an OT4 too and not just a Nontan x Everyone. Last panel is kind of Nico-nii x Everyone. Presumably the other two get the love if there were more panels.

First panel is kind of Maki x Everyone if Eli and Nico are waiting their turn to brush her hair, for example.

I see why the Nozotits x Everyone was used though she's the one the most jealousy involves.

By the way this really is awesome. It's adult life, and they seem to get along very well.

I say this a lot but if you have two shipping names (nicotori and kotonico) i don't think you're really a rare-pair anymore. I call them the Designer Couple. The Dressbians?

Valentines for the three honest couples. Yes, I am including NicoMaki, they just take a lot longer.

The light hair made me think in first panel it was Maki supporting them, but it became clear after that that it was nozomi.

If it is the sibs, the symbolism would be that upon becoming Honoka's girlfriend, Nico acquired another child to raise.

It's a pretty simple reason, really: noone likes it. The reveal comes in a single line in a dlc that came a month after the original game, a reveal that holds no bearing on the narrative, themes or of any importance to the characters in the story itself, even if Azura was already romanced. Why should people care about something so arbitrary?

I think Honoka x Umi would be stronger if Honoka didn't have like 9 ships (counting Tsubasa) to manage. That dilutes the HonoUmi following. Same thing keeps NicoMaki #1 for Maki - it's not like it just has to fight off HonoMaki or MakiRin or UmiMaki, but all three plus. Nico has a handful of ships - mainly Nozomi, but also Kotori and Hanayo. Nozomi really only has Nico. Eli has Umi, mainly. So that's one thing that keeps NozoEli #1 for both of them. Also, I think Honoka, Chika and Tsubasa are womanizers, frankly. Harem-builders.

Why I love this over canon:

Canon is, Maki hugs Nico because Something Dramatic Is Going on.
Nico hugs Maki because it's Tuesday.

Front cover with Nico says Kabekui!, doesn't it? I think that's what I was told was called "Agokui" and it's related to Kabedon! which is what Maki is pointing to.
