Somewhat. I'd say it's been mostly like Lily Love and Lily Love 2. There is some drama but nothing I'd consider absurd--the core relationship is not really where the uncertainty comes from. There's also a wider cast besides just the main 2. In the current chapters 37, there's a new character that could be an issue but I don't know how much of one.

Personally, I think a little bit of drama and hardship in Love My Boss makes the series even more enjoyable, and Ratana Satis does a great job portraying that.

There is an English version of Meb but you can also use the Thai version since English chapters of a bunch of Thai series are also released there. I actually made an account with the Thai version (a long time ago, when I was buying all the English chapters for Beast Knights) and that seems to automatically sync with the English version. There doesn't seem to be an account difference besides the language change. I didn't even know they had an English version of until recently. You have to read chapters on the app anyway.

Oh, I didn’t realize the accounts sync like that, good to know! I only recently found out about the English version, too. Since the Thai version works the same, I’ll probably just stick with that. I did see the English releases on the website, though, and since the chapters are priced in Thai baht, they’re pretty cheap. I might consider making an account and buying some chapters as well.
