This is nice but I prefer Ooshima Tomo's NicoMaki doujins. At least they sometimes switch roles in his doujins.

there are a lot of times when they directly interacted with each other including the pvs. In mogyutto love de sekkin chu, Maki gives valentine chocolates to Nico.
Scenes in the anime where NicoMaki were directly interacting:
Nicomaki were 'hanging out' at night.
Nico hugged Maki.
in the training camp with BiBi, Nico and Maki were sitting together by the campfire talking to each other and also Nico gave Maki a very hot potato
Maki hugged Nico to stop her from fighting Honoka
Maki telling Nico at the beach that she doesn't want a muse without her

I think a lot of NicoMaki as a pairing predates the anime. The manga plays it up a lot more, although it (and the game) are different enough from the anime to constitute a separate continuity. I rather like them as a manga pairing, where Nico isn't anywhere near so confrontational toward Maki and takes more of a direct interest.
