imo, the author makes a wrong move to create a side character who has received alot of hate but alot of love as well like Seju. If Seju is a proper bad antagonist right from the start like typical k-drama, I think none of us could wonder what kind of fate she will have, she'll be just a pure antagonist who supports the two main characters to be together. Personally, I think if you has created her like that, make everything around her even more complicated than the main characters and give her such a complex personality, at least give her some solid development, not just waltz out then waltz in the story when the love triangle needs her. This is sth that has been going on with her character alot since the beginning, she disappears for several chapters, appears again to stir sth then disappears again and practically doing nothing much BUT all the mysterious stuff revealing or left unanswered until now is related to her. I don't get the author at all. Build her like that but doesn't give her a proper story and keep being the tool for the boring love triangle till now(not sure about the future), I don't quite like the author's method at all, because it would make a lot of people don't satisfy with Seju's ending (in this case, I think it will be a lottttttttt of people since she builds her to get quite a lot of love from readers, not just a mere bad antagonist at all)
In short, this final arc's development is going quite bad for both main couple and Seju. Teamblonde is not a couple I would vote for at the end with their pace and sickening steamy scenes while Seju is just a character who keeps disappearing.

Interesting point, I always think Seju is the most developed out of the three. It's not easy to create a character that is consistently grey and you can't decipher her thoughts process. She's always been threading in the fine line between black and white, so you will either hate her or love her. To certain extent she reminds me of The Joker from Batman, and very plausibly she might have borderline psychopathy too.

Honestly given how the story and her character is going so far, it's already pretty darn amazing on how many people like her. I think her complexity is a double-edged sword in the story for Team Gaji, on one hand her existence keeps the drama going and add some spice in Sumin/Sungji dynamics, while on the other hand sometimes her existence/complexity unfortunately overshadow the main couple story in the series.

Lol I noticed that too haha xD Maybe her desire for Sungji made them grow...

What an eye-opening and mind-boggling "desire theory" that I found. No wonder Seju got the biggest = she has the wildest & most extreme desire for Sumin. And Nami got the smallest = she managed her desire for Sumin & just be friend.

this is the problem when the author gave a side character, a solid backstory and more interesting subplot than the main characters. the sex scenes is just full-blown fanservice. it's not even romantic LOL this chapter is like something you will find in a lemon fanfiction.

I just feel like they have changed the writer or something. It's surprised me to see a decent writer who was capable of creating such an interesting supporting character failed to develop the main protagonists. Sumin and Sungji fought and made up just like kids. The sex scene was way too unromantic to the point in which I found it hard to watch, like both side were trying a little way too hard to throw themselves at each other. Seju and Sumin's sex scene in the last chapter of the second arc seemed to be more meaningful than this one.

I thought I was the only one who found this chapter a bit off-putting.
Oh well, it felt like they forgot who was supposed to be the main couple in the first arcs and were like "shit we need to sqeeze some Teamblonde now" or they simply thought that being a main couple with a good antagonist and some sex scenes automatically makes them good.

Well no wonder I like Joker too, but honestly i don't think Seju is a psychopath or anything lol, it would be a stretch to say so.

I think only people from this discussion complained about the latest chapter. I read some comments on tumblr, people seemed to enjoy this chapter a lot. They said this's the chapter they have been longing for, reading this chapter made them fall in love with Sumin and Sungji more deeper, Sumin's become sweet, Sungji's become cool, ect, ect. I wouldn't see things that way even if I were on TeamBlonde.

^ that's true lol. Sex always sells, even if there is nothing more to it, and a lot of yurifans generally like the fluffy-happy type of characters and situations.

Yeah, like let think of it this way, if Seju was just a mere simple antagonist, will we react this way towards the latest chapters? I think the answer is no, we won't. We'll rejoice because finally the main couple has been back together after all the hardships, like most of their shippers are right now, but because of her and all the complications between Seju and the main couple, we hope for more elaborate scenes between sumin and sungji, developments from them to prove that what they have is more than what Seju had so personally, I think the author has failed miserably in this. She has done a wonderful job to create Seju with such interesting personality and make the story more exciting but fail to make the other two shine and solve the complex named Seju she herself creates nicely and last chapter has killed whatever special between teamblonde i had before :). Especially Sungji, the latest chaps make me wonder what kind of logic is there in Sungji's head? Like one moment she shut Sumin down completely, break up and all then the next moment they are talking and have a whole new level of sex. Btw, the sex scenes make me go "is this really the Sungji I've been reading?" For once, I've been hoping for sungji to grow out of her innocence and purity and yeah, sungji has changed in the latest chap but in a worse way for me :)
Anyway, to me, I think even the author didn't know Seju would get this much love from readers, she only intended to create a mysterious side character but ending up getting too much love, maybe that's the reason we are feeling the story went downhill, the author doesn't know how to deal with the side character and main couple to make it plausible.

For me, the answer is "no" because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten to read the latest chapter anyway as I would have dropped the manhwa right after reading their first like 10 chapters at most.

Me too but that's just us, a lot more people like simple fluffy couple like sumin and sungji, not that many people like a dark and complicated person like Seju, Seju got alot of love but not as much as teamblonde, that's for sure =)). Seju plays a important part for this story to be this famous but it doesn't guarantee we all satisfy with the story's development, we are minority comparing to other readers who don't think the same, for them, an intense sex means the relationship has gone deeper, not by deep talk, not by resolving problems but by sex. Wow, I cant get the logic at all.
But seriously though, can anyone answer me this question, so now what does that leave for teamblonde? Keep the sex going till Seju comes back and meddling between again? We have like more than 20 chapters left and I have to see more sex between them, the useless, pointless steamy scenes? There is no damn room for them to develop anymore except for the whole sex and lovey - dovey without SEJU, the hell is this? So now eveything depends on Seju? She has to come back in between again because withour her, this story is basically...dead?

Random thinking, I don't know if it's just me but I keep thinking there is a probability that Dawoon will meet Seju or work in her office. This is obviously a wild assumption, but for some reason I keep thinking it's gonna happen.

I think it's pretty possible. But it's still asspull nonetheless.

I feel exactly like you. But I have emotionally distanced myself from this story since last arc.
My guess is more drama outside of them, like Sumin getting involved with some Seju drama and Sungji supporting her by cute stuff I guess.

I don't know, stories like this make me lose faith in humanity.
It's perfectly fine to ship Sumin and Sungji and hate Seju, i totally get it. But some people won't care about anything more than just that as long as there is hot enough sex.

And my problem is not that Seju has no chance, it's how the main couple is handled so far. It's weird how Sungji went back to sleeping with Sumin so easily after what happened.

Based on the latest chapter, I think what's going on between Sumin and Sungji is more lust than love. They have turned Sungji into a horny teenager. It's as if Sungji forgives Sumin just because she's horny and needs to get some. I mean seriously, who would flash their boobs and have sex with their ex who was caught red handed sleeping with their ex just not so long ago? They'll definitely make a great sex buddy, but not lovers. Another chapter wasted. And I do hope they'll cut the steamy scene short for the next chapter. And maybe I'm biased, but this story is getting boring af without Seju around.

This is not high school love with some cute stuff and in your prediction, they still need Seju's involvement to have sth between them. Main couple shouldn't depend on a side character this much. Let's face it, teamblonde is end game but also hit their dead end 20 chaps ealier prior to the end of this story. They need Seju, completely, totally and thanks to this steamy chap, no more things left to discuss about them, eveything has solved magically with sex, even if it's cheating, no need more words, yeah, their relationship is that deep, new level of deep after this chap, so deep that I cant understand. The story should have ended by now if there is no Seju. I don't like how this story is going at the moment, I love Seju but why kind of story is this if the side character is the key for every single thing? You want to solve dead story? Throw her in? Want sth romantic and cute for main couple? Throw her in @.@.

I seriously don't get those people's logics at all. In whichever way you look at it, it was a situation where Sumin and Sungji were supposed to sit and talk to make things clear. How could they find it adorable and logically right for a couple to make up with each other that way, in that horny state?

It's not logical. It's easy and instand satisfaction. Just look at Fifty Shades...

Oh well, maybe Syngji and Sumin will talk about it in the future.

Also hello Martian Haven't seen you in a while :D I agree with what you said that this looks more like lust rather than love. It would be true in real life, but this is a fiction and I think the author tries to tell how much they love each other via having them do it like that without words.
Realistically, I think in most situations when a person was really in love and got cheated, they would find it hard to sleep with that person so easily, since they got really hurt and would feel in a very vulnerable position

Hi MacySan, it's been a while :D
I agree, the author might have wanted to show the readers how much Sumin and Sungji loves each other, but unfortunately, in my opinion, they failed to convey the message. But maybe they did this on purpose, giving us the full of nothing but sex chapter because it's chapter 69 haha.
Also, even if this is fiction, I still find it difficult to wrap it around my head how easily Sungji can forgive Sumin and have sex with her after saying that she can't forgive her, makes me think that she doesn't really love Sumin that much.

Ah, I got it now. Back then I was wondering why people at the FF's thread kept saying that something good would happen in chapter 69. :D

Sumin x Sungji's relationship/love for each other centers around sexual gratification xD this is the reason why I was rooting for Seju. her love for Sumin has emotional attachment not just all about lust. which is a very good reason why Seju x Sumin is more deeper than what Sumin x Sungji might ever be.

I actually didn't like Seju at first. but she's the type of character that just grows on you. especially, after her backstory and history with Sumin was being revealed. Sungji is just a badly written character. she doesn't have any complex nor interesting backstory. other than being Sumin's lover, she doesn't have any stories to tell. she can't stand alone as the protagonist. she has to rely to Sumin or Seju to have any relevance in WDTFS.

Well, the whole thing about Dawoon and Sungji felt way too cliché and more like a filler rather than a real part of the story. Leaving aside that issue...

I think that the relationship between Sumin and Seongji is changing. It´s too early to say that they are becoming a "better" couple. But what I can tell is that they are changing their dynamic.

Some people said "Well, they are together now so let´s move on". But that´s not the point here. They have just made up so they still have lot of things to do to develop their relationship. Things like real trust and getting to know each other for real. Sumin will have to open her heart for Sungji and start having a “healthy” relationship without all the drama she had with Seju and her ex´s. As for Sungji, she will have to mature within their relationship. Understand that Sumin is not perfect and make mistakes all the time. (because she seemed to idealize her a lot).

As for the sex scenes on the last charapter… the story had been like this from the very beginning, then why suddenly go crazy about it? Yeah, it was totally blow-minding to see Sungji being "in the mood for sex" but I don´t think It was like “plain porn”. As far as I can see, it was not "just sex". Sumin was actually thinking and caring about Sungji. Making sure Sungji feels confortable and loved during the act. It was more like making love but also fighting with their mixed feelings about their separation (Sumin) and that suddenly encounter (Sungji).

And, as it has been pointed out before, sex can help develope relationships. It´s such a good way to get to know each other in ways that you could never do just by talking .And making up by having sex is a common thing in real life pairings. (Of course if it´s healthy or not is another issue that depends on how the couple moves on from it)

Also, we cannot forget that this story wasn´t mean to be fluffy. It had always showed up more realistic characters. Always showing them making mistakes and having flaws. So It´s not fair to judge it as the "Worst yuri manwha ever" just because it doesn´t follow the “classical yuri manga” development. Full of blushes and fluffy things…
