Yup, it's a reference to the anime (or rather to the manga--the anime hasn't gotten too far yet). Can't really say why here though since it's a pretty big spoiler.

It would be good if you read manga, then you can get it and feel that it is really drama and romance.

Nice thing I finished reading the manga all the way to the updated chapter. phew I am really glad that this piece has a reference to the manga and is not a spoiler to many who haven't read it.
