Plot Summary:

Karuna and Aurelie were friends. Then Aurelie went off and found the infernal armor of Ellicide and became the Evil Overlord Darkloft. Karuna is the only one who can stop her. But Karuna loves Aurelie, even now.

Luxaren Allure is a medium-sized RPG (aiming for 8-12 hours) that follows Karuna and her allies as they explore the isles of Luxaren and confront a former friend who now wants nothing but destruction.

Intriguing. I'm tempted to give this a try instead of playing Master of Magic for the umpteenth time.

Played for about two hours initially. So far, I like it. Feels more polished than most RPG Maker games I've encountered. Story didn't take off too well to start, but it improved. Like the art. Probably finish it here in a couple days, looking forward to playing more.

i'd like to know a bit of how things go in this... but I don't actually wana play it.

So, I've gotten a ways into this game. It's decent and it's yuri, but you're going to be spending the vast bulk of your time stomping through dungeons

This. Esepcially when you're in pursuit of the third artifact, you enter a cavern I liken to Mt. Moon in the original Pokemon.

In other words, a total headache. Also had a major ramp in difficulty. Had to take a break when I got to the midway point.

I like the characters and story still, but I can't figure out if this game wants to be taken seriously or not. Some of the gags are endearing, but not all, and there's quite a few. This includes monsters like "Disco Inferno".

Also, you're supposed to have a fourth companion, but I feel like I'm nearing the end and still haven't encountered them

I'm going to push through to the end soon, we'll see how that goes.

The battling and dungeon crawling got really tedious toward the end. But that might be because I neglected to sleep in my quest to defeat the final boss. It really was long though...

I would say meeting the 4th member of the team is a little more than halfway into the game. It was nowhere near the end for me.

I wasn't taking the story too seriously because it was very straightforward and predictable and nothing made me worried about the fate of the characters. I think at some point I was just playing for the sake of finishing, but I liked the experience anyway. The characters are likable enough even if they seem quite cookie-cutter to me, and I love the old rpg game aesthetic.
