The show isn't dead, given its increased popularity and success. However, since RoosterTeeth has its problems and WB being the way they are, the crew of rwby (CRWBY) might have to end up buying the rights and become independent.

RT/WB are the problem, not the actual crew of the show. They are stuck in the thick of it unfortunately, but gets a lot of unwarranted hate (see other comments here) from the "guilty-by-association" mentality.

That scene was done perfectly. People calling it fanservice and otherwise hate it can suck it<3 What's even funnier is that Arryn and Barbara both confirmed this was planned since day 1 and had to keep it a secret for 10 years.
@PineconeJuice Jesus christ, how delusional do you have to be to come to that conclusion? Yang and Ruby care about each other, that doesn't mean Yang can't finally have time for anyone else. She literally risked her own life for Ruby on several occasions and raised her when their dad shut down from losing Summer. Like she's not allowed to love someone else and must be Ruby's babysitter 24/7 lol. What a shitty take.

^The show is still ongoing with volume 9 starting early next year. They've worked on it for a while and a couple of movies (DC crossovers) and with the pandemic going on. The anime, made by studio Shaft, isn't a reboot or mediocre; it's a "canon adjacent" setting taking place around Volume 1-2 with a different plot.

Shiver is female, uses female pronouns, and is referred to as she/her in-game several times. Not genderfluid or nonbinary. Confirmed by Nintendo and the game itself.

It's always funny when as soon as anything RWBY shows up here, the Hatedom has this compulsatory need to type out how their opinions are supposedly facts. They know nothing about writing or animation, but boy do they have opinions about it :D
Maybe let a person watch it if they want and form their own opinions instead of trying to herd them into your flock.
