Did they -write- M/F, or was it one of those applications that expects you to circle one?

Wow, and you accused me of not reading with comprehension.

I'm not into trap thing since I prefer Yuri but this kinda cute ahaha , but my question is since Mogu gender is M.F does that mean mogu can choose what he/she wants down there if bird or cat(if you know what I mean) ahahaha ,like the guy in UQ holder.

Not sure if someone else answered it, but that's the space where you circle Male or Female on the employment application. Mogu circled neither.

Right. That make more sense. I thought they wrote M/F to avoid picking one, but instead it was already written there and sister thought Mogu forgot to fill it.

Yes, you are. They are agender or at least don't identify as either male or female.

BellaDante posted:

Yeah I don't know a lot about Japanese documentation but considering it's marked with both M and F they're probably meant to be intersex

Well considering the person themselves clearly said they are neither, this was a attempt at avoiding answering the question, since document asked for their gender and they don't have one, so they wrote both hoping nobody will think much of it. And they were right since brother assumed it was a mistake.

a lot of people -do- skip translator's notes, and so new readers are always going to be wandering in without having read the explanation.

That is their problem if they read something for free and don't even bother to read everything translator included in their work. All this only make Ropp want to quit translating, so you can all thank people like that for this. You are honestly so spoiled and ungrateful/ She shouldn't have tl it in the first place and you should just read it yourself or pay her for translation. Yet she is spending her free time and yet people complain non stop and wants everything to cater to them.

Using accents associated with the English language to represent accents associated with Japanese is a tough sell, because you bring all the baggage of people's prejudices and stereotypes along with them.

Only if you are shallow person who only focuses on stereotypes. Become better person and then you will enjoy this translation no problem.

Also everyone on dynasty discord were fine with it and made fun of people who complain here about it.

As for the dialect translation is she supposed to be from a rural area of Kansai or something?
I mean I get that they have a strong accent but still I wouldn’t translate a manga like this.

Are you freaking serious...?

Her accent is hard to understand and borderline incomprehensible to Japanese. They say many words totally differently, so unless you knew them beforehand, you can only hope to guess them from context. So pretty much like Scottish accent.

You're right and I don't really expect any level of realism from porn. That being said, depending on person, there is a lot of factors that make porn work or not. Some prefer their porn more realistic, so finding work that actually knows what it's doing and portray certain things (like BDSM) somewhat competently, can be very refreshing and much more stimulating than mindless sex.

Yea. Totally agree. This really bothered me and confused how anyone could call it a great example of BDSM. Especially with that ending. It really didn't sell me on how consensual and healthy the whole thing was. It felt just as any other porn about breaking someone into liking something.

You do not know how much I hate Okayado's flanderization of Monster Musume's harpies into being all airheads who suffer loss of all short-term memory after three steps (and I mean that literally; the MC himself notices that if they just fly, this phenomenon doesn't trigger at all no matter how much distance they cover). Seriously, even as a gag, it's not funny with the way it's overused or shoehorned.

I only read 1 volume so I guess the joke didn't get old for me.

You're most likely right. I was saying it before that editor is the more likely reason for changes in story. Editor is important and can improve the story, but more times than not they sadly actually ruin it or make it less interesting/unique, forcing author to go more mainstream and do things that are proven to work, so they can prolong their series and get all the money they can from it. Sadly nowadays, entertainment business is business first and entertainment second. Trying to write a good story is becoming less and less main focus over making something that will sell well and earn a lot of money. Trying to being safe ruined a lot good stories.

That is actually a decent interpretation of that scene and I can get behind it. My main issue is that I lost interest in the series, so I don't really care how and where it will go anymore.

That brings up an interesting question. If you have two people in a relationship and one views it as a romantic relationship and the other views it as platonic, would they be considered a couple? Are they dating?

Well, if they are in a relationship then yes? Platonic love is still love, just not physical.

Yes, but we already have a word for platonic love. It is friendship or in special cases family. Basically what makes it confusing is that from one partners perspective their relationship is a deep friendship and from the others it is romantic.

Well since you brought it up after mentioning someone being asexual, I thought that is what you mean by saying platonic. Asexual person can still love someone and want to be in relationship with them. They are simply not attracted to them sexually.

To be frank, does it matter? 90% people don't give any thoughts about making monster girls anatomy accurate. In fact, in most cases it probably is plain impossible or final design would be less than appealing. Series that actually try to tackle it are exception rather than rule. If you want work that try to make it plausible and actually went quite a bit into biological stuff, Centaur's Worries is series for you. Also the second her design was questioned, I remembered about Papi from Monster Musume. Gotta give author credit, she actually have birdbrain. I think the issue of her not being able to do much with her "hands" was brought up, but I'm not sure. I think she actually can't change by herself.

EDIT/ Lol, when checking just to make sure if I wrote birdbrain correctly, I learned that brain size being main factor for intelligence has been debunked. While birds indeed have very small brains, they are still highly intelligence, because they compensate by having more neurons. The more you know.

Really they're wasting alot of breeding potential, just by making half the women play "daddy". In a situation like this, you would think it would be all wombs on deck.

Author created only women world, to then separate them by sex and make same sex relationship taboo. What's the point? If they wanted to write forbidden relationship story, couldn't they just write about all female/male military school in our world?

the point was to show how stupid the system is and to make paralles with similar social structures irl. thats why at the end, everyone ditched the system and decided to just go with whoever they liked.

I thought it might happen, but I wouldn't know, since I got bored of it pretty fast and dropped it like after 4-8 chapters max. Still we already know this system is stupid in our world. From what you say they just discover homosexuality is ok, so setting it in all women world, where homosexuality should be obviously fine in the first place, still feels pretty forced. And still they could do the all female/male military school with exact same conclusion homosexuality is fine and there would be no difference. And same with classes systems etc. You don't have to invent your own setting and then create a issue that shouldn't exist there, just to explore something we already have in our world. To me this series is just 1 big wasted potential.
