I honestly agree. Futa gets a pretty bad rep on all sides for some reason, even though it's basically just yuri with a meat dildo. The best of both worlds and stuff. I dunno, it shouldn't be as offensive as it seems to be for some reason.

This reading completely ignores the way the previous two pages are staged to overtly sexualize that encounter.

Ayako thinks she’s just giving Asuka a stern parental talking to, but she throws her daughter down on the bed, accidentally (we assume) grinds her knee in her crotch (accompanied by the sfx “grind”), then strokes her thigh (in scolding her about getting creases in her skirt).

Certainly Asuka is ashamed, and she’s not thinking of her response as a good thing or reveling in it. But denial of the sexual implications of that sequence is not the same as objectivity.

So you admit it's all in the perspective of the reader, not the characters. I see very little, if any, indication that Asuka has the same reaction to this as the readers do.

I don't really care how sexual the author wants to make the moments, all I care about is that neither side actually interpreted it that way themselves. Those are two different layers.
