This was great- i always thought it sucked maki seemed to just go be a doctor because her parents wanted it- both in cannon and in almost every doujin- when clearly her heart and dreams were in her music.

So its nice to see a story where she faces up to her family and just says nope- i'm going into music with nico! She would clearly be WAY happier not denying her dreams and talents.

@Lilliwyt I did do the same- obviously. And I didnt act an ass I thought.. It was a question and statement of simple fact. even if we have some spanish speakers the VAST majority are NOT and if they want to be understood- which presumably they do or they wouldnt bother posting- then they SHOULD be posting in English.

And sure it only takes a minute for us to translate message.. but that ALSO holds true for them.

It also makes sense for the one posting to be considerate enough to do the translation if they want to be understood as apposed to them foisting that onus on everyone else. It is ALSO far more efficent to have the ONE person doing the post to translate themselves, rather than asking each and every person who reads it to have to go and translate it themselves one by one. The alternative being, most people just ignore it.. which presumably they also dont want.

If i was a memeber of a Japanese board where everyone was talking Japanese.. I know for sure I'd not bother commenting on it in English- especially if I expected responses.

Am I wrong anywhere in that assessment?

^Yeah you're right- that was one of the things I searched for but google never gave ichiban as a suggestion for 'the best' and the bottom kanji looks quite different- maybe because its on a creased t-shirt, but now I see the real kanji, it does look close enough to fit. Thanks.

It says neko (cat) ichi something something lol- I cant figure out those kanji..

goggle thinks it says old cat but im sure it doesn't.

This is the first time I’ve been okay with “no yuri” in a manga published to DS. This was a wonderful and beautiful story.

There are a LOT of great non yuri on DS if you look around.. When you've read all the yuri, it can be a good idea to trawl through a search of your fav tags, but exclude the yuri tag. You will find at least SOME hidden gems you missed.

I love Touhou and have read all the yuri - excluding the few with tags i dont read- so I once did an excluded yuri search, and also excluded all the tags I dont like (such as violence, tragedy, futa, het etc) - and a blank search box, then worked my through the whole lot over a week or so.. I ended up adding about 20 of them into my touhou favs list.

尊い (Tōtoi) and 尊死 I've come across this toutoi (preciousness) before a few times- I got the impression its a term used quite a lot by otaku in japan similar to how moe is- but awareness and instances of it haven't come across much to the western anime fans yet?

p.s Did anyone else miss their big obvious 'yu' and 'ri' belt buckles (p3) till about the third time reading through it lol?

p.p.s Should the book on p1 really be called 'yuri mythology' not 'yuri anthology' ?

Is “Is the Order a Rabbit?” Subtext? I’ve read every single other manga except that. But this whole list is pure yuri gold.

@Jayxnoir - Nope- it kinda stands out from the rest actually- unless it has a lot more manga chapters that have yuri- but doesn't seem likely.

It is almost all girls, has quite a lot of shipping potential, with 3-4 obvious pairings of girls who are close, and 1 girl has a yuri crush but that girl has no clue. And there isnt many scenes for them in the 2 seasons of anime. no actual yuri or even subtext really.

Ive not read the manga but I doubt it's much different.

I woulda put another big hitter yuri like 'girlfriends' there instead :)

I still recommend the animes if you like cgdct shows- its fun- and cute. and all girls.

Oh also I didn't notice the first time reading it, but page 2 (and 3, to a lesser extent) has tons of actual yuri works, ahah. Very nice touch.
