Haha, I always wondered what Maki's pose in the GBF collab was all about.

Indirectly relevant to the spoilered recap:

So in chapter 4, in the conversation with Kaoru's friends (before Risako arrives) Ayaka (the one with short, dark hair) calls Reiichi, "your childhood friend who dumped you so many times" and says, "And every Valentine's Day during the 7 years of high school and university became an event to encourage you when you broke up."

That must mean "rejected your confession" rather than that the two of them were officially dating and broke up, right?

It seems implausible that people (the friends, Uta's mom) would be so surprised that the two got married if they had actually been a long-time on-again/off-again couple rather than Kaoru wanting to get with Reiichi and being turned down.

In that chapter, the raws say "フラれた" (furareta), which can absolutely mean "break up" or "dumped", but is also context dependent. It can also mean "to be rejected", so that is almost definitely what happened to Kaoru.

Thanks. It's a subtle but significant difference for understanding the characters, depending on what actually happened. Kaoru continually confessing and getting turned down is vaguely stalker-ish, but hey, childhood friends, so no harm, no foul.

The two of them getting together as a couple only to break up regularly seems a lot more toxic (and more narratively and thematically unlikely).

Based on the upcoming chapter, I think it's more probable that Kaoru also wasn't rejected all the time either, since one such example of her failed confession attempts is her texting Reiichi her feelings, but it turns out that Reiichi's cellphone broke so he never saw the text. But then again, we haven't seen their university life at all, so this is just a guess from me.

All that's really significant from the next chapter (from the top of my memory btw, so it might not be perfectly accurate, LOL)...

Flashback chapter. Kaoru's friends all know she likes Reiichi and nobody knows why. Her attempts to confess always seem to fail as well. Risako meets Reiichi in the library alone one day, and Reiichi mentions something about how it's surprising that she and Kaoru get along so well, since Kaoru is clumsy and always causes trouble for people. Risako confesses that she actually admires Kaoru's bright sides, but tells Reiichi to keep it a secret between them. Reiichi visibly admires Risako's beauty here (and develops a crush on her). IIRC, on graduation day, Kaoru laments over having her feelings gone unnoticed this entire time, and decides to go confess to Reiichi.

When she finds Reiichi, he's alone in a classroom with Risako, so she decides to eavesdrop. Reiichi confesses to Risako, which catches her a little bit off guard. Before she gives him an answer, she asks Reiichi what he thinks of Kaoru. Reiichi mentions that they were raised together, so they have a familial relationship, but he isn't sure if they're exactly considered super close. Risako somewhat insists that lately, him and Kaoru have been getting closer (to his doubt), and then mentions that it would be too complicated for them if Reiichi and Kaoru were too close. Reiichi hesitates for a second, but says he'll increase the distance if Risako agrees to date him, to which she accepts.

Reiichi is incredibly overjoyed at this and the two leave the classroom... only to find out that Kaoru has been listening this whole time. Risako sends Reiichi home first so she can talk to Kaoru alone, and her expression implies that she was expecting Kaoru to be there all along. When Reiichi leaves, Kaoru asks why Risako and Reiichi are going out. Risako says it's because he confessed to her first and that those two had the chance to speak in the library. Kaoru asks if Risako secretly had a crush on Reiichi this whole time, but she denies it, and tells Kaoru that she only agreed to date Reiichi because there wasn't any reason to turn him down. Kaoru is upset by this, and says that she would've preferred it if Risako's reason for going out with him was because she actually liked him, even if she had to lie to her.

After that thought, Kaoru goes home and sits next to Reiichi on the couch... and tells him she's been thinking about wanting kids with him.

I swear to god, if she is serious about that, i stop reading that shit. I just hope she asking it to see if he see their life together in the long term, which i think it's pretty obvious at this point that he not. Still, Kaoru is a coward. She could just ask him directly about the matter but try to found another way to approch it. But just the fact that she might be serious about that make me mad.

IMO, the implication is that she wants to know if he can see them together in the long term. I don’t think she wants kids with him - she just doesn’t want to lose anybody else. Uta’s departure seems to have hit her hard. I think, since Kaoru has been with Uta for quite literally their entire lives, she got used to (figuratively) being in a relationship with both Uta and Reiichi, to the point where she never fully noticed just how incompatible she and Reiichi were (e.g. him being lazy, listless and non-committal), since Uta was always there to fill in the blanks (e.g. Uta would hang out with Kaoru or cheer her up whenever she was down).

Just found the time to read the raws for chapter 26. Here's the summary for it (in hopes it'll clear up any confusion here):

Kaoru is evidently depressed at Uta's departure. Reiichi seems to not care as much, although he admits it has gotten quieter around the house. He also mentions that they'll most likely see her again anyway during the holidays, so it's not really a big deal. Upon hearing this, Kaoru remembers Uta's parting words ("Goodbye") and is aware that there is a chance she may not get to see her again.

Later, Kaoru tries to invite Reiichi out to go shopping with her, but Reiichi declines the invitation, saying that he just wants to stay home and rest for the day. Kaoru tries to be understanding, but is low key a little upset by this, and recalls that in the past, whenever Reiichi would decline her invitation, she could always turn to a more willing Uta and ask her to hang out instead. Kaoru tries to shake this out of her head, and asks Reiichi to take her out on a date next weekend (to which he very casually agrees to).

Kaoru goes out on a shopping trip on her own, and on the way back, she makes a stop at the cafe she and Uta used to work at. The manager at the cafe asks how things are going between the married couple now that she and Reiichi no longer need to take care of Uta, and Kaoru finds herself making excuses to convince herself that everything will be fine, she just needs time to readjust. In the end, the manager also tells Kaoru how important it is to communicate with her partner, and Kaoru leaves with these words in mind.

While Kaoru is waiting for the train at the platform, she receives a call from Risako, who is also asking about how Kaoru's life is without Uta under her skin. However, Risako phrases this in a way that makes it seem like Uta was just a bother in Kaoru & Reiichi's lives. Kaoru is shocked that Risako is even aware of Uta's departure to begin with, but Risako answers that she just happened to run into Uta the day before she left. At this point, Kaoru finds the courage within herself to ask Risako if she had run into Reiichi lately, to which Risako responds by saying that she hasn't seen him since their wedding. Risako tries to ask Kaoru what's up, but Kaoru finds an excuse to hang up, since her train was arriving.

Meanwhile, Kaoru is shocked because Risako's tone of voice didn't sound like she was lying at all. However, Kaoru recalls a memory from high school, and remembers that Risako has always been a good liar. The panel associated with this memory has high school Risako saying that Reiichi isn't her type at all (which is a lie, considering she is Reiichi's ex). Kaoru reflects on when she caught Reiichi together with Risako right before her accident, and admits that she was simply too scared to ask him what was going on since she didn't want to lose him. She then thinks to herself that she no longer wants to lose anything else again.

After that thought, Kaoru goes home and sits next to Reiichi on the couch... and tells him she's been thinking about wanting kids with him.

Chapter 25 summary:

Risako and Uta’s conversation... goes nowhere. Like many people have guessed, it’s confirmed here that Risako is Reiichi’s ex. Nothing about the cheating gets revealed, and their small talk is cut short by Uta, who says she needs to prepare for her move. Some unimportant farewell party takes place and then at the end, as Uta says goodbye to Kaoru. the latter subconsciously reaches out and holds Uta back, but Uta pulls herself out of Kaoru’s grasp and leaves.

If the cheating is real then it's way worse if it's with his ex. Can you precise me one thing. It's a goodbye or a farewell ? Because a simple goodbye mean she stillwant to see her whereas a farewell mean she stick to her words and don't want to see Kaoru anymore. Also with your summary, it's just (again) a empty chapter. Nothing happen beside Kaoru being on the verge to make a big mistake.

Lol, late reply, but...

It's a farewell.

IIRC Garun is actually Thai.

Somehow, I feel like the deal that Nene offered Kou was something Amane might've said in the past.

"If, when autumn comes, you still feel like "this isn't right", then we can break up and go back to being friends."

It may explain why Nene broke up with Amane so suddenly (albeit in spring), and why Amane expects them to stay friends. I dunno, might be a bit of a stretch though. Chapter 7 is the most up to date raw chapter as of now, so we'll just have to see.

Oh, the next chapter (raws) are out, and...

It's a Kuro & Miyabi chapter, so I completely skipped it until I saw Uta, LMAO. The biggest development at the end is that an older woman calls out to Uta in the streets... IMO, this woman is presumably Risako, so the next chapter may be where she finds out about her brother's cheating...

It feels like Nene’s envious of Amane in some way. Like, Nene appears to have this very strong need to feel special - something that she seemingly has been denied of when we saw her at her photo shoot. She wants to be called cute, she wants Kou (although I’m guessing she would’ve been okay with just about anyone) to look at her only, and we see that she gets angry when Kou goes over to compliment Amane’s work outfit.

Just judging by what Kou said at the end, it’s pretty evident that Nene isn’t over Amane either, but something must’ve torn them apart, and I’m almost positive Uchiho’s the culprit... otherwise, she wouldn’t even need to be in the story at all. Like, seriously, she doesn’t look like she’s playing any role at all at this moment, lol.

Thanks a lot for the new update! Super Cute chapter! but with a surprise ending!

it's posible Yori may have pull the trigger to early but I admire her bravery and that she really didn't left room for error lol.
While I am sure by the end they will be together, what matter is how they get there so it will be interest how their different "loves" go from here.
Anyway I love Yori and I wish her the best cause I get the feeling that she may get rejected at first but we'll see.
anybody knows if it's already on par with raws or when new chapters get released?

Apparently this month's yuri hime didn't had any chapter so... We're all caught up!

I see! thank you! guess is waiting time now ^^;
something I am wondering is, probably the love song Yori is writing maybe the realization Kino needs, but would the song alone be enough for her to see Yori in a romantic light rather than the admiration love she has right now?

I guess it depends on the lyrics but mostly on how close to her ears she whisper the love song hehehe, I say she needs to be close enough to feel her lips on the neck, then it wouldn't matter if the song is good or not... it could even be Despacito

PS: In fact, all of you try to imagine that all this time, Senpai has been singing Despacito in the roof

Wow, Asanagi Alexa-senpai.

No, I'm almost certain he was asking if Saki liked Shizuku in a friendly way.

If this is true then i stand corrected but can you ellaborate why you think that's the case. Personally i have no idea why he would need to ask Saki if she likes her sister in a friendly way when the answer is already so obvious especially for him since he was literally observing them all day.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I’m sorry if any of that comes off as standoffish. I know it’s more likely that you haven’t seen the official description for the series or the raws, so I’m just trying to be informative!

Not at all, thanks for the info!

Most of my reasoning comes from the official description, but other than that, I believe that Mio’s goal right now is to get Saki to like Shizuku (platonically), since Shizuku’s never had a friend before apparently. Mio knows Shizuku is completely foreign to the idea of friendship - there’s almost no way he’s going to think about love. Both of them were also extremely worried about the amusement park date going well, so Mio asking Saki about whether or not she likes Shizuku at the end was a good way to gauge if their efforts have been a success so far.

There’s also the idea that Mio himself doesn’t even know what love is. He’s 10 years old and doesn’t know what a sister complex is, whereas his classmates his age already know, LOL. Kids these days.

Have you considered the fact that the title might reference a point of time ahead of the current point in the story.

So the chapter 3, because thats literally what we are talking about. The title implies that the brother knows her sister's a yuri and chapter 3 shows that with the scene where the brother ask if saki likes her sister, and the fact that he can asked that question so casually in the first place means he's not a stranger when it comes to girls liking other girls. He was even wondering why saki wants to keep it a secret when it was so obvious that her sister also feels the same way(im honestly wondering too).

No, I'm almost certain he was asking if Saki liked Shizuku in a friendly way. In the raws, Saki asks Mio to keep it a secret, but she says it in a way where she's treating Mio like a child (which... he most definitely is, lol). On the next page where Mio is asking, "Shh...?", it's actually showing that he isn't clear on why it needs to be kept a secret from Shizuku at all. This isn't an interpretation from the English translations, but rather how it comes off to me in the raws themselves. Plus, this kind of misunderstanding is a very common trope in romance manga. Also, the official Pixiv description for this series says something about how everybody's different definitions of "love" will slowly come to light, which, to me, makes it clear that Mio, Shizuku and Saki have different ideas of it for now.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I’m sorry if any of that comes off as standoffish. I know it’s more likely that you haven’t seen the official description for the series or the raws, so I’m just trying to be informative!

Off topic from this argument, but the next chapter release (raw) is slated for June 28th.

Mio may be unaware of what Saki means by "like" for now, but I feel like he'll at least understand it before Shizuku herself finds out, lol. Maybe he'll still have to help her out a bit more even after Saki and Shizuku get together.

I’m not sure what the raws say since I haven’t seen them, but considering “oba-san” can mean either “aunt” (blood related) or a respectful way to refer to an older woman, I’m pretty sure Indou was just a stray puppy picked up by Kagami’s mother. As others have mentioned above, Indou had a scrawny appearance and supposedly lived in the dumps before she enrolled in the academy, and seen in this chapter, it’s Indou’s first time seeing the Kagami household at all.

Wow, I just feel like Kou, Amane and Nene are all playing into Hayama's little game. Granted, Kou transferring in was unexpected, but seems like it worked in Hayama's favor and she only needed to make a few little adjustments to create a relationship shit storm between all of them.

Hey, was that a kiss in page 28???

I think it was... even tho it's not shown distinctly... I mean, in panel 2 Nene and Taru seem to be face to face and close enough to touch lips... and in panel 3 we see that Taru is standing on tiptoes, which is a classic movie shtick meaning that you're trying to reach the lips of a taller partner...

I think they kissed. I'm guessing that's why sempai is smiling so smugly: she caught them on camera. I foresee lots of angst when Amane sees the pics.

Oh, and are those beads of sweat, or saliva just a few panels after? :^)

On a side note, it’s interesting how we don’t see Nene’s eyes whenever she has strong reactions in this chapter, like when she’s told off by her sister’s friend or when she’s blushing while staring at Kou.

I love the way the story is moving along. We don't really know much about Tsugumi, Midori or Haru yet, but you can really feel the kind of pain all three of them went through/are going through. It's also beautiful to see how much of an impact Tsugumi left on both Midori and Haru. It's like that saying - "people aren't dead until they are forgotten", and in this case, Tsugumi still lives on in the both of them.

The first chapter confused me a bit when Midori said, "Spring was when my most precious person was taken from me" before she got the call to attend Tsugumi's funeral, but I think it makes more sense that Midori's not actually referring to Tsugumi's death, but rather, something that probably happened right after their graduation since Tsugumi never went to high school. Or the first few pages could be a time skip, but it doesn't feel likely since Haru isn't there (unless they've both moved on). Guess we'll have to see.

Huh, I was actually right about Amane being the Sunset Girl, and that the picture might not have been a pose for a photoshoot.
