Dunno if you know, but the author of this wonderful series has just won the first prize in the "Eikyuu Shoujo Shinkou" contest for yuri graphic novels, with her manga "Sore wa Shoujo no Zettai Jouken" (which more or less means "This Is The Eternal Girl Creed").

Amusingly enough, the subject is also photography. More exactly, photographers and their models falling for each other. Yeah, just like in Luminous=Blue. ^.~

Hay un manga que se llama Venus Revere (o Venus Reveal), puede ser que hayan visto en MDex el primer cap en inglés. La traduccion al español está mucho mas adelantada, ya llevan cuatro:

Es una serie que se publica en Dengeki Daioh asi que es un poco distinta del estilo Yurihime al que estamos acostumbradas.

To be fair, if the source is terrible, starting from scratch and basically rewriting everything can yield better results, although I've only seen this work out properly if the target is supposed to be a comedy and not supposed to be representative of the source anymore.

You have a point. I've read myself a lot of erotic manga magazines both shounen and seinen (that is, intended for a male readership) when they first came out in English in the nineties; and, much later, I got the chance to read the original Japanese books -- or, in some cases, accurate translations by a conscientious scanlator. I have to say that those old rewritten versions by Eros Comix or Antarctic Press were often much funnier.

My favorite line this chapter: "I'll fan you with leaves and hunt wild boars!" Sakurako makes me swoon, sometimes.

Actually, I'm sure Kasumi swoons too when she hears those lines, only it's inwardly. (Which, as we learned today, it's not always the same as what she shows outwardly.)

Btw, how many of you did believe, for a few seconds, that Sakurako really experienced withdrawal symptoms when Kasumi got more than five steps away? I totally did. She got me good.

Hopefully this means the shit editor got fired. Out of a cannon. Into a brick wall.
