I have to admit I find it strange to find people in a yuri focused site be against more official gay girls in a manga.
I know everyone has their own tastes for the yuri genre, but I agree. I've read similar criticisms of some of Ratana Satis' works - I personally like escaping to a lovely world stuffed with official gay girls.
Another thought is I liked how casually female sexuality was depicted throughout, in a completely natural way without shyness or anything. In Hikawa's story too, it's clearly linked with passionate, deep, sometimes even empty longing and so it's a nice break from the pure, fluffy, scandalous-hand-holding yuri.
This is kawaii art for adults. What really sets Morishima apart here from the cute-for-cuteness-sake kawaii mangaka is her fabulous draftsmanship (yes I understand the irony of that gendered term) - so strong and confident!
yeah that cover has me all over the harumatsu ship, that kind of art is one reason why we all keep coming back to Saburouta. I feel she uses her cover art to give us insight into how charachters are with one another when we're not around.
Adorable. I made an account on this site, just to comment. It's a shame that no one else has commented on this adorableness. Meiling x Sakuya is an adorable ship, especially when people add more to it, than the usual "tsundere maid and idiot gatekeeper". Loved the realism/anime art style, too.
Yes I'm often surprised how there is little or no praise for so much great stuff.
