If the chapter count is anything to go by, we're approaching the end of volume 2 (and of the manga?) which will be out in February 2024.

Looks to me the couples are already set in stone.

Sophia x Chloé
Aria x Mia
Korn x Lily

IMO, it's the end game. Not some forced poly.

Gratuitous violence and people here are in ecstasy.

Go figure.

Well, at least now, Asumi doesn't have to pay for sex.

Unless she still wants to fuck multiple brothel girls.

I thought this was licensed.

I think I am getting more and more confused because it seems to me that both series are on different time line.

Me too. Like, Saori and Shizuku are dating now? Since when?

They're not dating, Shizuku's just acknowledged her own feelings for Saori. This is probably why Saori is asking about confessions, either she's thinking of confessing, or she's recognized that Shizuku has caught actual feelings and is expecting one. But they're not official, so Saori says "I'm not dating anybody" and describes the planned shrine visit as being "with a friend."

Huh. There was a confession.

As far as I know, they're now dating.

She was just eluding her sister's question.

In the first 3 pages of chapter 5, Koto's still in middle school (as we can see her uniform hanging in her room) and she has nightmares about Aya's disappearance (waking up in tears).

The dream sequence is repeated with 21 yo Koto, with the added detail of the fox mask, which symbolizes the "magic" of her disappearance. Then she realizes Aya is actually by her side and that she's not dreaming, even checking for heartbeat to confirm it's not an illusion.

You better not post any spoilers here or you'll be forever cursed.

Christmas isn't a day off in Japan. It's just a work day like the others.

But for some reason, it's considered you should have a date with your S/O on that day (and eat KFC too).

It's purely commercial there.

I hope Yuni and Nanase have sex in the next chapter.

And Yuni realizes it was much more exciting when she did it with Fuuko.

Rei can walk away anytime.

It's not like Ami deceived her.

What I like with Nanatsu Fuji is that they never resort to toys or het porn tropes with the sex scenes.

The sex scenes feel natural. They do things that a lot of lesbians do when they have sex (cuni, fingers, tribbing, etc...) and it doesn't feel like they do it for the gaze of the reader, but because they have feelings for each other.

I'm not sure I'm clear here...

Wow, this was so cute, sex aside the connexion between those two is amazing.

wdym? Sex is part of that connection.

hmmm I'm not sure about this, I didn't like the bit with the phone, I thought it was kinda tacky and it crossed boundaries as it could potentially get her fired, especially if it's something important. Also that thing she said about "you can't say no", uhm actually she can, retracting consent is something that is important especially in a BDSM relationship (which this one seem to be) as the people in them need to have total trust in one another, I would say it's essential. I know this is a work of fiction but sometimes I worry if people who are reading these things get the wrong idea.

First, work-related phone calls at midnight are what black companies do and if it's a recurring event, she'd best change agency.

Next, sure, let's write a dom/sub relationship where the sub keeps on refusing the dom's orders and the dom has to wait the sub to be up to it, or not. This would mean the sub isn't serious about it and the dom is a mop. Either you do it seriously, or it's just pretend.

It's a kind of contract. Ai WANTS to be ordered around, right then and there. Barring some special circumstances, she won't say no and they both know it, but verbalizing it as an order solidifies the contract. I'm pretty sure a "you can't say no" is exactly what she was yearning for.

Yes, consent is important. But here, it's pretty much implied because the one requesting this relationship is Ai. Not Misa imposing it on her. The stalker is Ai here. It's not Misa beating Ai into submission. Your "indignation" is misplaced.

It's been a constant theme in Fuzoroi that the girls are mismatched in almost everything, but their relationship still works somehow. It's literally the title.

I don't know why people act surprised when the author reminds readers of it.

Heke is an irresponsible and scatterbrained mangaka with the brain on sex and games, while Shinohara is a career woman focused on "perfection" (as a gamer, at her work and in her daily life). But as the saying goes, opposite attracts.

In their relationship, Heke makes efforts to work harder and Shinohara makes compromises, like allowing her to live with her and giving her rewards. Because they love each other.

So, they somehow complement each other and are learning along the way.

Not every couple has to be lovey dovey and fusional. I think Mikanuji's couples ring true.

I think this manga's progression is suffering from its success.

She had to add the "angst about the future" arc to prolong the story, because since she has a hit on her hands, she wants to keep it going as long as she can, which is understandable.

When you have nearly a million followers on twitter for just ONE series, you don't want to conclude it just yet, because there's no guarantee the next series will have the same success and she'll fall back in anonymity.

This is her blessing, but also her curse.

I can understand the retcon though.

Having a teen living alone on a remote island with a scruffy middle-aged man which isn't her father but a distant relative, could be seen as "improper". Guess the author wanted to get that out of the way.

I feel like there's a line between teasing someone and being emotionally manipulative, and Ami's certainly crossing that. I don't get the idea of wanting to see your partner emotionally distraught, it just feels like being an ass to someone who cares about you deeply. Is this just some weird Japanese cultural thing where borderline abusive relationships are normalized or what?

Manga are made by Japanese people for Japanese people.

Deal with it.

Well, the romance couldn't work. Neither Satsuki or Rika were gay.
