Maybe at least having some transparency over the process would reduce some of the unease in this community.
Sure, transparency is good. To add to what Casusby said, and to address this point and quite a few questions I've seen, I'll offer some specifics.
Before anything is added to the reader we require permission from the relevant scanlation group(s) to share their work here. We do our best to verify their translation is accurate and their image work is at a consistent and readable level. When serious mistakes are pointed for any of these above points, we'll do our best to correct them. As for the uploading process itself, there are three primary ways content is added to the site. I'll list them below.
1) One of ~4 dedicated uploaders add whatever they wish at whatever time they wish, provided they're able to receive permission from the relevant parties to share said content here.
2) Some scanlation groups are given uploader access and are free to share whatever of their own work they so choose. In general, groups are only given that privilege when they are working on content we already host or wish to host.
3) Users routinely contribute through the Upload Request form, and one of 2 uploaders (myself and drpepperfan) review those requests to determine which content fits the site and which content does not.
Most day-to-day content decisions are made by myself and drpepperfan. Any work that appears on the site and remains on the site is an expression of those decisions. We have worked together for 8 years and the previous 8 years of uploads should be evidence enough of where priorities lie. The recent Het
uploads are borne out by my conversations with Daphie and Stan Miller of Cyan Steam. Both uploads were my decision.
Suggestion: On the Forums page, it always gives links to the discussion pages "1 2 3 ... [latest]". I'm not really sure why I'd ever want to randomly revisit page 2 or 3, but I often go to the latest page then have to go back one or two pages to catch up. Would it make more sense to offer links to page "1 ... [last 3]"?
Hmm I think you're right about that! I'll add it to the list.
Just wanted to point out one thing: I've submitted art by an artist I know as "Oyuu", but recently found out that's the same artist as this one who is already on the site (according to their alternative names):
https://dynasty-scans.com/authors/azuma_yukihiko
So if you guys approve any of the posts I submitted under the name Oyuu, please tag Azuma Yukihiko instead lol
Sure, added that alias.
Also, about upload requests, could you make it so the name isn't mandatory? Because I don't always know what names to give to images I request (I usually go character x character but there are some which have multiple couples or something like that).
I think, in the interest of saving us extra work, we'll be holding onto the name requirement, sorry.
Actually speaking of the blacklist feature, is there a possibility that the blacklist can be updated to include blacklisting certain authors and/or series as well?...
I don't imagine it's an easy fix, I'm not a software person so I wouldn't expect any change like that could come quickly. But would such an update be possible?
I don't know the specifics well enough to have a comment right now, but based on my understanding of the tag engine this should be plausible and relatively easy. I'll add it to the list.
Is it possible to a "het only" tag so I can blacklist it? The normal "het" is fine especially when it part of the plot or some of the ensemble of charaters have the trait.
For the time being the answer is no, I'm afraid. If you only wish to see Yuri
uploads you may use the whitelist feature. Otherwise, maybe the whitelist feature will be adjusted slightly in the future to allow for the functionality you've asked for. Not for now, though.
I thought this site is only for yuri..??
You thought wrong. This was covered in the first post of the thread. Banned for a day. Take care.
Teio is so great, bravo.
We've replaced the formerly broken up chapter 1 uploads with Zephyr Scans' release for consistency.
We need a solutions with this problem,
And if u think baning everyone who protest with this manga is a solutions, i dont think so.This is our opinions ( also me ) so this manga is should not to be here..
Iwe dont hate this manga or the uploader.
I know this manga is good and also wholesome.
But this is not the right place..
If u know well this sites, u also know this sites is mostly yuri related only, this is one of our exclusive sites that only serving yuri.So i just need your kind heart understanding.
This is my opinion about this,.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english..
You're right, banning everyone isn't a solution. Don't worry too much, it's not going to be necessary. Rules are rules though, and we've been over this. If you wanna talk about it, talk about it in the Help thread. This is not the appropriate place. Your English was okay. Take care.
I thought for sure I'd never fall into any weirdo rabbit holes reading manga about lingerie and stuff. What a naive idea! I just love Tachi so much. Ugh.
But why even have the het content? there is plenty of other places to find it on the internet. It is not even nice het series that get uploaded, like even kodomo no jikan is which imo creeps me out.
To be honest, I haven't much patience for your initial reasoning. When I've approached folks on MangaDex and elsewhere to allow us to bring their yuri work here I've sometimes been asked "What's the point? MangaDex has everything you want" or told, "People know MangaDex exists, if others can't find my translations on Google that's on them." What makes a series "nice" is entirely subjective, so I'm afraid that won't work either.
To the extent any reason is needed, one may browse the positive comments. Clearly there is some audience who find it meaningful enough to share their thoughts here.

I think "queen bee" is broad enough to work in this context, and I think it works perfectly well.
I tried to make a longer post but the forum software is calling me a spammer.
Sorry about that, it's fixed now and won't happen again.
For a possible solution to any negative feedback, would it be possible to potentially partition the site slowly over time, or maybe recommend based on search/read content on a user's profile? Since this site is bound to blow up in scale in the future, with more and more content being created/posted. Maybe a feature geared towards separating triggering/unwanted topics/tagged manga on an alt version of the site, like the switching from desktop to mobile... blacklisting is available, but it took me a while to notice it's usage, as a new user with an account. I understand that it is important to hold true the sites status quo, as it works. And, that personal emotions of the individual readers aren't always as important in comparison to the general desire to continue that status quo. But, many, like myself, come here as an escape from the consistent offensive/serious content shoved down our throats that we are told to put up with, at risk of being labeled off as "snowflakes."
Thanks for taking the time to read this disorganized comment!
Sure, thanks for making it. Well, I'll get right to the real substance I'm able to reply to.
I'm sorry to say it would be technically infeasible, at our size, to offer separate versions of the site. More realistically, we do have some spoiler tagging options in the works that ought to fix many tagging issues, implementation pending. Related; an expanded tagging system and semi-automated tag suggestions will make our jobs a lot easier, the user experience superior and hopefully curb many unfortunate surprises. That is something I am actively working on. More along the lines of your suggestion, I could see there being expanded blacklist options or functionality in the future, but we haven't discussed this yet and it mostly depends on resource availability.
Also I'm not quite sure how or when, but I would definitely anticipate the FAQ, rules, and a lot of general site navigability stuff (including blacklisting) to gain better visibility. Users should at least be aware of some basic options and rules before browsing or posting, and I think the implementation of that will be quite manageable at some point in the future.

I must admit this sort of response isn't what I expected; I guess I'm so used to people being defensive and confrontational. While I'm here, though, I might as well say that I do think you do a great job overall. I love the site and I think the community in general is a pretty good one. You know how it goes, people often only speak when they have a complaint and that's how I ended up getting here, but I like ending things on a positive note when possible so that's what I'll do.
Yeah, thanks for doing that, I appreciate it. We do our best, and I'm optimistic that things will only be getting better and better.
Ummm ive been here quite small amount of time but when i recommend this site im like "its a perfect place to find yuri easily", seeing all the stuff happening here and there with ppl complaining about nonyuri content, should i stop doing that?
Well, I'm not really sure how to answer that. We don't intend to remove any yuri content from the site, and are always looking to add more. The tagging system is - I hope - very comprehensive for people to find what they're looking for, especially when it comes to yuri. From my perspective, nothing substantial about the site has changed. You'll have to make your own determination I guess.
I am quite aware of the sheer impossibility of my request, but I am truly at my wits end. This short one-shot I seek is a Reimu x Marisa Touhou doujin. I have already perused almost every single piece in the sizable collection Dynasty has, but I can still not find it. I know that I read it on this site many years ago.
To summarize the plot: Reimu and Marisa simply have a conversation on the porch in front of Hakurei Shrine under the moonlight. The art was very detailed and expressive and it ends with them confessing in a way.
Reimu's deeply affectionate face haunts me to this day, so I must find it again.
If it had been deleted, I am more than happy to look for it elsewhere, but I would have an easier time if I knew the title.
Hmm..."sitting on the porch having a conversation" does describe a lot of Marisa x Reimu
doujins. Does it involve kissing or physical affection? It doesn't sound like it does, but I'm checking first since that would narrow it down a lot.
Bruh we waited 2 months for an Extra... cmon these releases are slow af...
Where are the chapter releases???
Hi, please stop asking for updates. It's not helpful for anyone and pretty rude to the scanlators who are spending their free time to bring us good content.
Hi. Yep, this is another het series. No, there's no sudden big change to what we're uploading, so don't think too much on it. Before posting, please consider reading the rules. Rule 10 in particular is of note:
Tags are meant to inform users so that they may interact with works that appeal to them, and avoid those which do not. If your comment on a given work could be summed up as a comment on the tag itself, please avoid making the comment. Repeat offenders may be disciplined as necessary.
If you have something off-topic thoughts about Het
or anything else you wish to share with us, you may voice those thoughts in the Help thread, but please do not voice them here. This is the thread for World's First Romcom: Oga & Bebe, all comments are expected to remain on topic. Thank you.
Also, thanks so much to Cyan Steam for all that they do! And for bringing us this.
Well, i know Dynasty uploaded het story years ago but, for now Its feels wrong uploaded that in here. I mean, there is mangadex for universal genre's.
We've been over this. There are plenty of other places this discussion may be had, like in the Help thread. Your account has been banned. Take care.
Oh, I missed the big love fest. Love all of you too, thanks for behaving for me! mostly
I've learned a lot about chatting, discussions, interpretations and people here... I miss Nez chan, I really REALLY respect Pekoe, I have a crush on the personalities of some people here (and their avatars), and I'm touched every time a new person finds this Dynasty isle in the sea of internet, it's salvation for some! You've come to the holy land! but not everything is pure and shiny, but even with the best and the worse parts of it, I truly love yuri and the community.
But I blame this site for my sickness, the shipping sickness... Now I get pitifully mad when a fanart or canon content shows a "wrong" ship and sad when the "true" ships doesn't get a fair exposure.
But I won't check my old posts. I have a trauma! there was a game I used to play online a lot, after moving on from it, years later I found out that the game was shutting down so I went back to try it one last time, my account was still active and even my forum post in their site.... and when I saw those messages..... Jesus, it was a horrible case of 15yo super cringe chuunibyou with AWFUL writing, it made me think "oh Thanks God this game is closing forever!" that dark past had to be deleted from the internet!
Move forward, never look back!
Serenata! I'm so honored for your shout out! You know I have to read like every post nowadays. I always look forward to yours, oftentimes, you really brighten those dark days, and I'm eternally grateful you've given us so so much of your time and care over the years! I think your recent post in Kami Eshi definitely belongs in the hall of fame.

it is funny that the author did this exact premise, went "these people aren't related this sucks" and then went to go do one where they're stepsisters though
Honestly here for that. Excellent choice.

Yuri: Wife and Wife
It's very cute and sweet and I can't think of many things that are more Moe up the butt
Not yuri: Hitoribocchi
Honestly I only read a few chapters after watching the anime, but I can't think of a series to describe "healing" better than Bocchi!
Any further posts along "China," irrespective of this manhua, will be removed. Thank you, take care.
The point is I don’t like China as a country, not really respecfull with LGTBI comunity at all, their comics are not good at all in my humble opinion, I don’t like them and they are a plague in mangadex and now is spreading here, sad for me :(
That's fine. This is not the place for this discussion. If you wish to discuss the content we host here, please do so in the Help thread.
I dont see anywhere any comic from Italy btw, u said u host art, yea so… fan art is considered as same level as series?
Ticcy is an Italian artist we host. We'd love to host her webcomic if she'll oblige us someday. We are completely open to hosting entire series from non-Asian places when they are available to us, as we've done for many years with Cross Heart (of Spanish origin).
If it feats your argument to call me ignorant good for you, is your web you can upload bird pics if you want but it wasn’t my point at all. I ve been called dog and theated ugly but my opinion it wasnt disrespectfull at all I just dont like that kind of comics. I don’t need ofend others to express myself.
You did though, you offended me. That wasn't your intention, that's fine, I forgive you. I had no intention of offending you in return, and "dog" was not an insult, it's slang language for "friend" or "person." So, let's leave it there. Please don't post your thoughts in this way again. If you don't like something due to its country of origin or tags, you may move on instead of commenting. Everyone will feel better that way. Thank you, take care.
I'd like to know why my posting rights were revoked
I believe you've already answered your own question, so I don't feel any need to respond in more detail. If it was a simple misunderstanding, then I apologise, it shouldn't have happened. Your concerns are noted. Take care.
The problem here is the first few words: "From the first post I didn't like." Why did you wait until a post like that was made? I, at least, thought it was obvious that there would be complaints, and in such a situation, the natural procedure would be for a staff member to post before anyone else to say that complaint posts wouldn't be tolerated and to link to the rules. This is what I was saying in that paragraph you quoted, not that you didn't post anything at all.
You did say "until well after the shitstorm arrived." I don't think 1 post is "well after," but that does quite change the meaning. It's just semantics, though.
I did consider a warning in the first post, but I decided it wasn't necessary. Lolicon
, of which 40 chapters were added on the same day, has been vastly more controversial here than Het
in the last ~year. Even then, it's been unusual to see more than a few detractors in any given thread, and highly unusual to see many folks continuing to post after prior warnings and bans. This situation wasn't quite unprecedented, but the level of backlash was rather beyond the expectations I had for what seemed to be a pretty innocuous manga.
If you care to notice, my original post made no complaints about the existence of het, I was only commenting on the reactions to it.
I do care, so I did notice. If clarity is desired, your post was removed for being "unnecessary," in addition to violating Rule 9:
Off-topic posting and conversation should generally be kept to a minimum. Thread derailment or re-purposing is unacceptable in all cases. Threads attached to specific manga are meant primarily for discussion related to that manga.
I ought to have redirected anyone with legitimate site criticism or feedback to this thread, that probably would have saved a few of us trouble. In any case, I'll be better. Thanks for all you wrote.
Dynasty absolutely promotes itself as a yuri site. Dynasty is a yuri site. Have you read the rules yourself? I'm copy-pasting here:
First, and above all, remember that everyone is here to have fun and enjoy yuri together. This is the literal first line in the rules post.
We encourage the promotion of yuri works or projects by members of the community and do not consider such promotion to be spam.
Insulting scanlators is unacceptable, and will result in your comment and possibly you being removed from the forum. They work hard to bring us the yuri we love, and they don’t need abuse for it.I know it's on the upload request page but it's there. Also there is a blacklist feature that can hide
Het
tag.
Thanks Lilli, really did mean to post that. I'll add it to the rules and FAQ later, if it's not already somewhere in there.

I don't think there's much for me to say or address here, really. So I'll just respond to the little bit that does. I have no problem with others continuing this conversation as they see fit, but all the usual rules apply. Please be kind.
Hi. This sounds like my post. If a mod could revive that post for clarity's sake, I'd appreciate it.
Dynasty absolutely promotes itself as a yuri site. Dynasty is a yuri site.
I know what the staff will say, "We're not a yuri site, we just upload what we want," etc. I've been on the site long enough to have read the fine print; this isn't news to me. But these are just excuses to deflect responsibility.
If you are able to quote me saying that Dynasty is "not a yuri site" or shouldn't be considered LGBT friendly or anything like that, please do so, and I'll take a look at it. My primary contention with these arguments that pop up on occasion are the choice to claim that we "promote" or "market" ourselves as anything. To my knowledge, we don't do any promotion or marketing whatsoever, and the people who find us find us through other platforms by word-of-mouth. In private, I've rarely given a specific and unconditional label to the site's contents.
I want to believe that Dynasty staff has heard all of this before and anticipated the shitstorm that arose, but like I said, actions speak louder than words, and their actions - or inaction in this case - says the opposite, because that chapter discussion had no warning of any sort of what kind of posts wouldn't be tolerated and where people could read relevant information until well after the shitstorm arrived. No one can honestly believe that most users actually go into the general forum area and read everything instead of just commenting wherever they happen to be. That doesn't excuse those posts or make them acceptable, but if your rules are buried in a place most users aren't going to see them, maybe you ought to accept some of the blame.
You may take issue with the location of the rules if you'd like, there's nothing I can do about that, so it is how it is. You seem to be wrong on some things though, and I'm not really sure why.
From the first post I didn't like, I posted the relevant rule and redirected users to the rules thread. When the situation grew worse, I posted a final, general warning and again redirected users to the rules thread. When someone chose to ignore those prior warnings and continue, I banned them immediately, and directed them to the prior warnings. Everyone else who continued had their post removed and was banned for a day.
I haven't the time to review every post removed or every user banned, but at least half of them had read enough prior comments to have an opinion on the general direction of the thread. They had seen the warnings, they simply didn't care enough to not have their voices heard in that thread. That's fine, I respect their calculation. For those who did not, I hope what transpired will be a reminder of what is expected of them in the future. Thanks.
So happy to have this back, Yukiko really is healing.
This is so cute, funny and earnest. Super duper looking forward to more.
Some of you reported my comment just for i saying: well, het still exist. what a shame, wow guys, but anyways, sorry for saying that
Well, I appreciate the apology, but nobody reported you. A final warning was given on Page 1 for flagrant disregard of the rules and prior warnings. You're unbanned in just some hours, so please drop this. Thank you.
