Keep in mind what characters in-universe believe to be true and what actually is true is not necessarily the same thing. In Salem for instance it's possible the characters believed that if a servant died they'd never be the same again even if that actually wasn't true.

Well I read it at clear attempt at raising the stakes for player, which then they immediately backtracked on.

On another note, I really like the auto-repeat quest feature that was added with the recent update.

Yea, it makes farming much smoother and in fact it's even better than the one MR has. In general we finally got a lot of updates that were long overdue.

Edit: Now I rolled Sigurd but no Valkyrie...

I'm in no rush to roll Valkyries, especially since they're unlimited and I don't really care about Sigurd, but I wouldn't mind dropping Brynhild, so if I'm going to throw some quartz, it'll be on her rate up.

No crits? Nice ex-luck Kappa.

Well enemy lancers on default have only 10% chance to crit and Bride gives 20% crit chance down for 5 turns with her NP, so once I hit him with that, I was pretty much guarantee to not see any crits.

I...thought it was an auto battle feature at first...as a AL/AK player I'm extremely disappointed.

Yea, MR really spoiled me with it too, but sadly they most likely will never add it to FGO. They want us to experience the game after all.

It's still pretty convenient, I guess. Less loading screens.

It streamlines farming significantly, so I'm not complaining.

What a nice rant. Overly cynical critical analisis, my favourite!

Haha xD I see next proof we're the same person xP

That "oh if you die here the servant will never be the same" or how about Caster just coming back with no explanation? She just goes "Tehee I'm back" then when asked she just says "not now".

I didn't even bothered to try understand how it works at this point.

Then Henri just gives up? It's like the writer wanted to have someone actually die but they couldn't execute your entire party and picked the poor fecker as the sacrificial lamb. Wasn't poor Lavinia enough?

Yea, in general Henri was annoying me most of the story, especially how he was acting at the end. But yup, that's why I said I didn't like the singularity as a whole.

Been a while so I hope I'm not miss remembering this stuff.

Oh, don't worry. I barely remember any finer details as well.

I find Fergus incredibly generic unlike his older (funier?) weird self.

Nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed the contrast with his adult self and seeing how he was afraid of women when he was young and in general how innocent and pure he was, was pretty funny to me.

Oh and the aliens? Just remember History channel aliens guy and you'll be less angry when you think about it.

Fair point x3

Again, nothing special, but he was soloable so it was matter of principal.

Really? I liked the Nightless city part but the finale was incredibly disappointing, everything about the resistance and ShotaFergus bore me. The fact that I don't like Rider's historical figure doesn't help.

Well I wasn't turned off but parts that people considered PrObLeMaTiC and after Shinjuku I just enjoyed the fact that entire story made sense from start to finish. Also Astolfo and D'eon are ones of my favorite characters, so them being central servants was nice. Caster's shenanigans were pretty funny and singularity really endeared her to me as a character. I never knew that Rider was such asshole in real life. All I knew was his biggest discovery. So I wasn't bothered with him and after twist I had no issue with switching to hating him. I liked Fergus Lily and found the entire thing pretty funny and even cute. The story had good pacing and interesting fights/parts, but probably the most important element, that Shinjuku did terrible job at, was actually exploring and focusing on new servants. We spent enough time with them to actually learn about them and understand their motivations.

I liked the lvl limit tbh. I always found (real)witches trials interesting so I didn't get bored. Oh wait, the plays were pretty boring.

Oh I didn't actually mean the lvl limit. In fact I completely forgot about it. What I meant was that reading through story was incredibly frustrating, because entire time I was screaming at monitor what everyone is doing is stupid, but they ignored me so they kept being passive entire time. Never before I felt so frustrated and like I had no influence over the story. From the very beginning it was clear that killing people off is not good and ever time people are executed things get worse. Yet until the very end Gudako and co. was just watching it all happen and not doing anything, despite things getting more and more out of control. And when after not doing anything entire time, shit finally hits the fan, they all make surprised Pikachu face as if they couldn't see that coming. The story of Abigail etc. was good, introduction of Circe was good, but the fact Chaldea took dumb pill for entire singularity really took a lot out of it. And the fact half of it was reading. A lot of reading. Despite being relatively short, there was so much reading it took me forever to finish and it felt so long. And the worst part of it were plays. I actually didn't mind them and they were interesting idea (again unlike MR, FGO trying to find ways to add battles that makes sense in context of the story). My issue with them was that they were incredibly boring and they took them way too seriously. The best one was actually 3 little Jeannes, because they had fun with it and it was hilarious. All of them should be like that.

...plot didn't make a lot of sense...

Fate/ not making sense? What's new? I stopped taking Fate/ stories seriously a long time ago because when I do, I get irrationally angry. That's why I like events and the silly stuff. F/Z is the only exception

Oh don't get me wrong. I gave up on understanding Fate logic and lore ages ago. Whenever during singularities/events we got exposition and I read sentence twice and still couldn't understand it or didn't know how it tied up to everything else that happened in the story, I simply turned my brain off and stopped caring reading forward. So far that approach worked. That doesn't stop me from initially trying to follow the story, so when for the most part it does make sense and then suddenly it doesn't, that's the most frustrating, because I at least can understand how it doesn't make sense (if that makes sense stares).

Anyway, with Shinjuku my issue was that while Salter x Jalter moments were great, we learned nothing about Emiya and Assassin. The only servant we really learned anything about was Avenger. In fact they introduced that whole Phantom Spirits concept (which is another whole can of worms on its own) and then they didn't really use it. I mean what is fiction and was is real is already shaky in Fate. After all technically all the heroes and legends and gods are not real here, but in Fate they apparently really existed and are real people. But ok, we got that concept of servants made from fiction, but they are weak and need to be combined. That's how they explained Avenger. But then we got Assassin, that is also fiction, but he's alone, despite being Phantom Spirit and didn't need anyone to be combined with? Not to mention we learned nothing about him and in fact he came off as complete psycho on verge of insanity. I know we got Sherlock introduced before as a proper heroic spirit and there's also obviously Archer, but I thought they also should be Phantom Spirits, which would fit perfectly. Sherlock could be together with Watson and maybe somehow find a way to elevate himself into proper Heroic Spirit. And you have Archer. The whole, I gave myself amnesia so I'll befriend you and can use my ability to bring meteor down the earth. I'm sorry what? First off all, so splitting your good self from bad self and giving yourself amnesia is just a ability anyone possess just like that? And then, while his 7th bullet was supposed to hit the thing he holds dear, it was supposed to be something he himself shot. Not just randomly grabbing a nearby meteor to toss it onto earth, because he wished for it. This entire plan was so convoluted I couldn't even. You know what would be much easier and better explanation? The one I thought they'll be going for after all the set up with Phantom Spirits? That the one we're against is the twin. Sure it was a cheap way to bring back his greatest nemesis after he was "resurrected" to keep writing novels, but it's still canon and is part of the story now. I was sure they'll use that rushed twist to their advantage and we'll help Archer defeat his brother, because they had disagreement or something. And that would explain why he could be summoned despite being fictional, cos he was summoned with his brother. And at the end we could have something happen that allows him to ascend to being proper Heroic Spirit, and that'd explain why he has fond spot for us or something. But since they didn't go with that, the whole Phantom Spirits was plot was pretty much pointless and they could remove it and just explain that was unique thing Avenger did to get summoned. Or they could keep it, but say only he is Phantom Spirit and give Assassin a proper explanation and part in story. Either way, that's my issue with Shinjiku, so when I played Agartha and it all made perfect sense and I could follow and understand plot without any hard work, it was really nice change. And similar with Shimousa, it's really good, because we spend time with characters, it's well placed, has interesting parts/twists and entire story is understandable. 1 more thing about Salem, while I mostly followed the general idea of what Pillar was trying to achieve there, I still didn't really exactly understand all the details, but once the cthulhu god showed up and some alien guy took Abi away, I just gave up. In general I don't understand how the hell those foreign gods tie in and work with Fate setting and if they're supposed to be relevant for Lostbelts or not. Same.

Oh I meant more, we don't even need to explain it by their age. Even if they were adults, i'd still say they weren't entirely responsible. I agree them being 11 years old, makes the matter worse, but their age isn't the only thing that excuses them.

Also wow, so we rushed entire story but they don't rush anniversary? We got only Madokami (well works for me, more time to save for IroYachi, though I already saved for 200 rolls). Also it's so clear that's where she was meant to debut for the first time, because only now they explain EX skill and double Magia. Also didn't expect Ashley next banner to be so fast. What a dick move, cos they again force people to choose between Madokami or Ashley. Also I totally called that we'll get her doppel at later date, but we won't be waiting too long. Also now they add first time auto to episode stories, after I finally managed to clear all of them >.>

Agartha and Shimousa were actually my 2 favorites. I thought they were the best sub-singularities. Shinjuku had some great moments, but a lot of wasted potential and plot didn't make a lot of sense and Salem was boring af and was incredibly frustrating to play.

Honestly the story isn't good but the Astolfo+D'eon cosplay was 10/10. WHY WON'T DW RELEASE THAT MAID COSTUME?! REEEEEEEEEE

I do agree on costumes. DW really should release them more often, but they won't, because they need to keep illusion of content and tie those to actual events etc.

While on 1 hand I agree it's unrealistic to say nobody ever died because of Magius schemes (all people affected/abducted by Rumors sure as hell aren't alive) and Touka did say she wasn't brainwashed and think her actions were her own, I still don't think it's fair to hold them responsible for what they did. While it was based on their basic personalities, it wasn't nowhere near what they truly are like. As I said before, under normal circumstances they would never decided to do something like that or go as far just to achieve their dreams. The only reason they did, was because they decided to put their lives on line and do it no matter what for Iroha and all magical girls, but the second Ui disappeared, that goal stopped making sense, so it had to be forcefully replace with something else, aka their personal ambitions, but the part about doing it no matter what stayed the same. So they still were brainwashed to a degree, even if it was more subtle. I don't even think it's matter of "they're 11 years old". Even ignoring that during initial flashback, you can see Touka and Nemu clearly caring for Ui and Iroha and acting like nice people, the perfect example of it is after Touka regains her memories. Instantly from megalomaniac entitled brat, she immediately starts acting polite, helps out Iroha and in general is actively trying to undone what they have done. The Touka we saw so far was clearly a different character.

Ok so I finally cleared 10:3 and I have to say there's still plenty of things that don't make sense, that I doubt will be explained anymore, but overall I'm satisfied and I feel like the story was pretty good overall. It even made me feel like trying to rewatch anime and see if knowing the answer to mystery will make changes make more sense (I doubt it though).

So the stupid book still exist. Based on the way you talked about it, I thought you were implying that it was just a way Touka remembered gaining knowledge about magical girls after Ui was erased, but no, it was actually a thing, which honestly, could easily be removed from the story and it would not made any difference. Honestly, when the flashback started and she started talking about it, I was so distracted and annoyed with how stupid it is, that I felt like just not bothering reading the rest. For a moment I really thought I'll just conclude that the story doesn't make any sense after all and all this wait was just not worth it. Also while she indeed interrogated Kyuubey, at first she did try to hack into his network using her PC, so that part makes absolutely no sense, unless the stupid book also explains that Kyuubey is actually a alien terminal with UBS port or some kind of wireless Wi-Fi that you can try to connect to and get information from.

The sudden appearance of Alina was indeed pretty jarring. Like she appeared in middle of very important scene and we're just supposed to assume they know each other and are close friends or something. Also I'm not entirely clear which part is the truth and which is fiction, because it's kinda implied the jumping from rooftop and meeting Touka and Nemu was what lead Alina to be admitted to hospital instead of Ui and that's how they bonded. I didn't watch her episode story yet, but I guess it might help making a bit more sense unless the story that is told there is the fake one.

I understand that as Kyuubey is emotionless, it allows him to collect impurities without being affected by it whatsoever, while human would feel all the despair present in it, leading to them experiencing it and in turn starting to product their own impurities. What I don't understand is why as soon as Ui gained the power, she started collecting them unconsciously. Other Magius clearly had 100% control over their power and didn't use it unwillingly, so I don't understand why Ui is the only exception.

While it was nice that Kyuubey addressed that you need to have sufficient enough karmic destiny, to be able to wish for very powerful wishes, I still feel like we never actually were show for it to actually matter. All magical girls who made a wish so far got exactly what they wished for, no matter what kind of life they had and even when supposedly Magius would feel the consequences of it, they clearly got exactly what they wanted without any drawbacks. The issue Ui had was more that she as human was incapable of gathering impurities without feeling their negative effect. On that topic, I don't understand why she started collecting them asap, but also then why she didn't start collecting them as soon as she woke up and instead now seems to be in full control? I'd really prefer and it'd make more sense that instead the uncontrollable gathering was result of not enough karmic destiny and other Magius would have problem with controlling their powers too, or something like that. Not sure how it'd be solved, but it'd at least not feel like red herring. Unless it was because of not enough karma, and being erased from existence and being reason for everything that happened, made so when she was brought back, her destiny lvl'd up, but that still leave the issue of other Magius not really having any issues. And no, I don't buy the they're geniuses explanation.

I liked the touch with origins of small Kyuubey and I see one of theories I heard turned out to be semi-true with him not exactly being Ui, but rather possessing her soul. On that topic, next inconsistency is, that why Iroha was the only one who regained her memories after touching small Kyuubey, but not Magius. Would think that would solve all the problems. Also not as much plot hole, but you really wonder just how much Ui was in control of small Kyuubey, because she was supposed to lay dormant, but it seemed like she decided when to give memories and also the fact she stuck to Iroha would imply she was recognizing her as her sister. After all after they stripped Kyuubey of his power, what was left was supposed to be empty shell without any will of its own.

I liked the reference to Madoka's wish, with Touka saying that obviously we just can't ask to rewrite laws, which was very fitting and pretty much the reason everything went wrong. Because she's so scientifically minded, she couldn't even fathom doing something that'd go against law. It's illogical and impossible after all. And because of that despite being able to ask for pretty much anything, instead of coming up with wishes that could solve the problem once and for all, without them having to do anything, she had to create a plan requiring them actively creating the system using powers they got, which backfired as soon as 1 of the elements (Ui) had unforeseen complications.

So, what was up with that Ui showing up before Homura telling her to come to Kamihama? Anime made it clear that a lot of magical girls saw her in their dreams, but in game pretty much only Homura, saw it and it was never mentioned again and it's clear Ui had no such power or at least it wasn't explained yet. There was also when Ai mentioned knowing "Ui as Rumor", which you could explain assuming that as all Rumors are created by Nemu and stored in her book, they all also possess knowledge about all other Rumors, so since Nemu created Rumor to take Ui's soul away, she was existing as a Rumor, but that still doesn't explain the "Magical girls can be saved in Kamihama" part of it. Honestly next thing that could be easily removed as Mami went to investigate Kamihama before Homura anyway and because she got captured, Homura never got a chance to investigate what Ui said properly and when she finally met Magius, she already knew they were evil and had to be stopped. I'm perfectly fine just chalking it up to it being a way to hook new players onto the story and pique their interest. I have to admit though, I really liked idea of twist being either Ui made some kind of wish to save magical girls or she was permanently fused with Rumor, which in both cases erased her existence and turned her into kinda lesser Madokami, so it's a shame it's another red herring.

From other stuff, what was up with Mifuyu supposedly losing her power? It was mentioned multiple times through out the story, so I thought it'll be significant, but turns out when it mattered the most (defeating Fendt Hope) it didn't really matter? Also I totally called that she'll survive that and most likely be saved, I bet Magius will repair her soul gem using their powers

And honestly my biggest issue still lies with the exact mechanics of how this universe came to exist in the first place. Also how are they going to explain why Madokami couldn't interfere sooner. In fact, ignoring all my other issues with it, their explanation made more sense when I thought that Homura tried to fight Walpurgisnacht with Madoka many times, before going solo, so her only repeating timelines many times after she went solo, makes the difference between this universe and OG one even bigger and complicates making sense of how the events unfolded even further.

To end it on positive note though. I have to say that learning that forgetting about Ui made Magius more extreme, made it easier for me to look at their past actions, because now they make much more sense as logical conclusion of them being driven by their selfish desires and nothing else.. If they just grow up without Ui, they'd probably not turn into such horrible people, but because they made wishes with clear goal of saving magical girls and Ui was core part of it, once she was removed, just saving all magical girls didn't make sense for them anymore, so it had to be replaced with them doing it in order to fulfill their own desires, which also explains why they become so ruthless, because their original desire to save magical girls no matter what, was instead switched to achieving their ambitions no matter what. So we ended up with twisted wish for saving magical girls, that only purpose was to actually serve Magius and their goals. In fact it even explains why Alina was portrayed the way she was, because her personality was also twisted, so she actually isn't a complete psycho and while she usually don't care about others, it doesn't mean she isn't capable of genuinely bonding with other people.

That's exactly the same thing I was complaining with Homura's and Madokami's episode stories and while theirs weren't as big, it was still important element to understand the story. I understand it's gacha and Alina is unlimited, but they really can't assume everyone has her. And while I agree chapter 8 took advantage of that, as I said before, it only works assuming you read all those stories, because otherwise you have no clue who those characters are and what their deal is.

Do it! 50 manga will take a loooooong time and not publishing them would be a waste. Or I guess you could pay for an artist. I personally want to put my stories online when I feel better and get some privacy.

Yea, I want to post them online and ideally e-beg earn my living using patreon. And I do want to learn how to draw, always did, so it's not like I'm forcing myself to do it alone. Ideally if I managed to pull it off, I'd want to support myself as a artist and finally stop having to work jobs I hate. And yes, my biggest pain is that I might not live long enough to make all of those, which pains me greatly, but as long as 1 manage to make the 1 I care the most about, I'll probably be able to die happily.
