i do think that (cis) heteronormativity makes us blind to (the possibility of) love and happiness, if they reside outside of that frame.

and so some people resign themselves to living unfulfilled lives. and unless they are complete weirdos, who cannot but stumble over everything normal*, they might live a whole life that way

I've read the first 13 or so chapters of the official release, and they are really well done.

honestly, her flavour of "not normal" is extremely relatable.

(I too had parents who for most of my life urged me to be normal, and I very quite succeeded…)

i did take note of that cough, but in the overall darkness of chapter four it fell by the wayside for me. especially since that chapter was Kira's perspective, I was mostly focusing on reading her

jaein x ahyoung is so good… sometimes i speed flip thru Sora & Haena, just to fully appreciate "Ah-Young & Jae-In?"

Sometimes it feels like people forget their reading fiction.

the great thing about fiction is that it enables us to build empathy with people who we otherwise might see as inhuman, and so when we meet such a person in real life, we might be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt that they might, indeed, be a human, just like us.

this manga has had dark vibes from the first chapter. Also, remember chapter four?

now that i think about it, this is probably a good model for half the manga labelled Introspective.

so far, it's been very faithful to the novel.
The next chapter is going to be a turning point (well, the first of many), but not in the way that LilyBlueCat might be insinuating.
