For an isekai manga that's as dripping with parody as this one, I can't think of a more fitting title.

Uda looks cute as fuck with her hair down. I can't believe she's been holding out on us for so long.

Oh come on, you're telling me you wouldn't violate the Geneva Conventions a little if your crush hugged you from behind like that?

Happy 10th Anniversary! The original citrus anime was one of the first bits of exposure to the yuri genre I experienced, back before I knew even two words of Japanese. I owe so much to this series, and it makes me so happy to now be able to translate it for other English-speaking fans to enjoy!

(Maybe in another 10 years Yuzu and Mei will finally do the deed. Not holding my breath though.)

I just binged the second half of the show a few hours ago. Probably one of the best anime I've ever watched, a true masterpiece.

There's at least three of these here on the site

Ah, I could've sworn I'd seen something similar to this concept before too! I had to do a lot of checking to make sure nobody had already translated this chapter. Thanks for finding those!

Anyone knows if there are more chapters?

There's one chapter left in the series, and there's also a bunch of extra content in Volume 2 that I'm working on translating.

Something interesting I noticed about Chapter 9 when I was working on it: it seems like Shiho and Kaede never quite directly respond to anything Himari says. Even in cases where it seems like they do, their words could also be seen as something they would just naturally say unprompted in that situation. Rather, it’s more like they make inferences about how Himari feels based on her behavior. It’s a very subtle yet clever detail. In fact, if you read the chapter again, you'll notice all sorts of details that hint toward Himari being a cat, such as the cans of cat food in her gift bag, and the fact that Himari is the only one without a surname on their new apartment's name plate.

The giggling together leading into the kiss is such a beautiful moment. It's what keeps me coming back to this one years later.

Man, the use of those lyrics leading up to the reunion made for a really beautiful moment. I wish more manga would use popular songs as a narrative device like that.

Today is a good day for Mei enthusiasts!

About Mei's "Chocolate Fettuccino":
In Japanese, Mei says she wants to try a チョコペペロンチーノ (chocolate peperoncino), likely intending to say "chocolate frappuccino" (since this is what Yuzu gets her on their date).
"Peperoncino" is just the Italian word for hot chili peppers, but in Japanese, it's the abbreviated name of a pasta dish called "spaghetti aglio e olio" (the full Japanese name is "aglio, olio e peperoncino"). Basically, I guess Mei thought it was some kind of chocolate pasta.
However, the word peperoncino doesn't have this strong association with pasta in English, so in order to make Mei's reaction on Page 9 make sense, I swapped it for a mashup of fettuccine and frappuccino.

Also, here's the "log flume ride" Mei is referring to on Page 12 (from the chapter released in August of last year lmao):

I hope you all enjoyed the chapter!

Yeah, I was expecting them to be gay as fuck, but man, that scene was gay as fuck. At this rate, it's only gonna take like two more seasons of LL for there to be an onscreen kiss and a confirmed couple.

I'll be a bit harsher than previous commenters - the translation is pretty bad, sorry about that but this is my opinion after reading it. I don't buy that the lack of a proofreader is the reason, this feels like the whole sentences would have to be rewritten so things make sense.

What about it didn't make sense? It was pretty simple and easy to understand what was being put forward. Sure the English was poor but it takes no effort at all to understand what was being translated imo.

I mean, I would probably understand what is happening just with pictures and without text so it's a low bar to clear. What I mean by "making sense" is that the whole thing is just torture to read.
... but even then, that whole bit on the page 16 with "why don't I listen to anything" just makes no sense to me. Why are they talking about "listening"? A student listening to a teacher maybe, but I don't get what does it mean in context.

Looks like a mistranslation. The verb 聞く (kiku) means both "to listen/hear" and "to ask (a question)". It seems like the teacher was probably wondering why her student hadn't asked her about an answer to her confession. Just replace "listen" with "ask" in the lines that have it to make it make a little more sense.

The idea for a proofreader is that the text was perfectly readable in Japanese to Japanese readers, so the English should be just as readable to an English-reading audience.

This is what I've seen referred to as "equivalent experience" in the Japanese>English translation industry, and it's probably the most important guideline for a translator to follow. The goal of translation is not to convert all of the words in the source text to words in the target language, it's to provide an experience to readers of the translated text that's equal to the experience of native readers of the original.
