I know this was supposed to be a trilogy, but I hope the mangaka does continue with it. I really like the overall premise and the characters and wanted to know more about them. Like, Saika going from this outgoing genki girl to a quiet and reserved adult. And then Ukawa goes from wallflower to emitting quiet chad energy. What happened from high school to where they are now?

Also, the art is gorgeous. I'm a sucker for beautiful noodle people, it seems.

At this point, this story can go a bunch of different ways. I just hope that we're not hit with a "Surprise! Yuuna's been in love with Sena this whole time, too!" or "Yuuna starts to develop feelings for Sena (and gets in between her and Kiku)." The story doesn't have a high-drama, high-intensity tone, so I'm hoping that it just ends with Sena telling Yuuna the truth and Yuuna either accepting Sena for whom she is but being firm that it can't happen or--if we want more angst--Yuuna rejecting Sena and blocking her out of her life.

Kiku really is such a kind and gentle person, huh? She's really what Sena needs, whether that's as a lover or a shoulder to lean on. This story better not screw her over.

The art in the latest chapters feels a little different somehow? Is it just me?

No, I thought the same thing, too. Something about the eyes and face seems different. Maybe the mangaka has an assistant who hasn't gotten the style completely down yet? Or maybe the mangaka just wanted to change things up a bit?

This was clearly a storytelling experiment, which I'm all for in a creative sense. I don't know if the double suicide metaphor really worked here, though. I had to read it a few times to get what was going on, and when I took the double suicide out of the picture, it gave me a clearer understanding.

Basically, to me, this seems like a "Character A feels unworthy of Character B's love, even though there is mutual attraction" situation. The author even says that Misaki's feelings towards Kokoro are an "incomprehensible existence." Misaki, at first, is confused about her feelings but is actually in denial about the fact that she's in love. When she finally realizes her feelings, she feels inadequate. Kokoro takes the initiative by writing a love song dedicated to Misaki. Misaki rebuffs it (probably as a defense mechanism), but Kokoro counters it by literally writing it down. Misaki reads what Kokoro wrote, and, touched and inspired, she reciprocates but tells Kokoro she doesn't feel worthy of her. Still, Kokoro insists that she genuinely loves her, and Misaki feels willing to try. The double suicide metaphor at the end then becomes a "Characters A and B both are in love and have found something they're both willing to nurture and work on together, which is their relationship."

That's what I got from it, anyway.

While it did seem a bit strange at first, I thought the Wakana-Sara thing actually reached a pretty nice conclusion after re-reading it. My take on it is that the two of them needed closure above anything else.

Sara had feelings for Wakana, but she moved on and found someone else, which is something that many people do. I would argue it's healthier because it shows that Sara isn't going to just wait around and dwell on the "what if's." You can't really grow as a person if you do that. As for Wakana, she needed to get her true feelings off her chest, even though she knows it won't automatically make her and Sara a couple. But to just say it out loud to the person you like is also the healthier thing to do than just bottle it up and--once again--dwell on the "what if's."

And I thought the hug was more of a way for them to put a nice little bow on top of this particular chapter in their lives. It's meant to show that they have no hard feelings, they said everything that needed to be said, and want to let each other know that they still care for one another as a friend.

As Sarah Paulson once said in the movie Carol, "And then it changed. No one's fault." "It" being "feelings," and it's true: it's no one's fault that feelings change because that's what they naturally do. Wakana and Sara don't feel anything romantic anymore; it's close friendship now. And I think this kind of experience would make them even closer as friends because they were completely honest with each other.

I doubt that Matsuri actually has a lover, given how she's usually lying just to mess with people or to get something she wants. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if she was referring to Harumi. I mean, I GUESS you could say that they've been dating for a while, given how much the author teases us with them.

Blood and puking aren't really my thing, but this story was actually really wholesome??? There was honest and open communication, consent, and the relationship developed pretty organically.

Can we also mention how the male characters were actually decent and respectful people? Furuya genuinely wanting to help his gay friend find a suitable partner, and the employee who accepted that Touka was into women and didn't try to force a guy on her. I was half-expecting Furuya to be a manipulative dude and Chouko would have to save Touka, but nope!

^NoeFure is pretty much confirmed, especially considering they bought custom pair rings that are meant for married couples. There's also the interview they did with Tamaki. That interview pretty much cemented it as "canon" for me. There's also the fact that they're considerably more lowkey about their relationship compared to other "couples" (especially last year, where Flare was hesitant to say much). I've often found that when people are trying to be subtle about something, it usually means they have something very real to hide.

Hwayeon annoyed me before, but now I genuinely dislike her. I've met people like her before, and all of them were the literal definition of emotional vampire. I really hope MC realizes this soon and gets away from her. Honestly, having Jisoo in her life seems to be good for her, whether that's romantic or friendship. While she may have started off pursuing Jeongwon because she reminded her of an old friend, she seems to genuinely like Jeongwon as her own person now.

^Yup. It was during their Uno collab, if I recall correctly. Kiara lost a round and had to talk like a baby for the next round. What was supposed to be an embarrassing punishment turned into one of the most ear-grating 45 minutes of Uno (this is said with love, btw. Kiara's great).

Seems like the Otaku just used her (like she said, for her pretty face). So there was no hope to begin with. Meh.

Pretty much coupled with the lack of a good introduction to her snatching away her notebook just screws up the eventual chance to actually develop in the relationship in any way. To be honest this could have been a nice wholesome series if only the two weren't being so aggressive towards each other. It just looks like they both wanted to keep their own pride intact without even trying to apologize for what they have done wrong. Sure if the mangaka had gone through some form of bullying in the past then she might not hold the best impression of the MC nonetheless, she could at least try to hear her out first. Though that is not to say that the MC herself hadn't already screwed up her own first impression with the way that she had acted. Damn mate...

Nonetheless this was a great read.

To me, it's very realistic of how teenagers would react and behave towards each other, especially teenagers who come from different social circles/cliques (gyaru vs. otaku). There's heavy implications that otaku was bullied in the past for her yuri manga (look at her dialogue on page 7), so perhaps that's why she was defensive towards gyaru. And gyaru, being a teenaged mean girl, acted exactly like that upon initially finding out about otaku's manga.

I think, if anything, this is a life lesson for the two of them. Otaku seems to have moved on and seems to have a stable career in drawing in the present, not really thinking too much about the past. Gyaru, on the other hand, is still caught up and feels guilty for what she said and treated otaku, and the takeaway for her is to not pre-judge another person and insult the things they're passionate about.

So yeah, this was a great read. I hope we see more of this stuff because--while the dramatic, fluffy, etc. stuff is nice--sometimes realistic works are nice, too.

I like this new character; she adds a lighter atmosphere to the drama. I think the story is trying to paint Hwayeon and Jisoo as being exes, but they obscured the person's face on pg. 13-14. If that was Jisoo, why hide her face? Was that even Jisoo?

From Jisoo's dialogue (honestly, it's a little oddly phrased for me, but I'm reading this chapter and writing this comment on 4 hours of sleep), it seems like Hwayeon has a history of breaking people up or at least meddling with their love lives. Did Hwayeon get in the way of Jisoo and a former girlfriend? Or, if we're going by the bitter exes route, maybe she cheated on Jisoo? If so, I wonder if that's why Jisoo is pursuing MC. She knows that Hwayeon likes her, so she's going to take MC away.

Regardless, I like the direction that this story is going, and I'm glad to finally see things picking up.

There's actually something pretty cool and metaphorical about a phoenix and a dragon fighting over Death. Side note, dragons and phoenixes paired together represent marriage in Chinese culture. So, I guess Kiara and Coco are fighting over Calli's hand here?

Finally, the plot starts to thicken. Can't wait to see what actually happened between the two. The fact that Hwayeon asked "How much?" is really interesting. Does Jisoo have blackmail on her? Is Jisoo not the "misunderstood cool girl who is actually really nice" character we thought?

On a side note, I still don't really like MC. Someone mentioned that she's annoying, and I agree. I get that she's supposed to be the "dumbass useless lesbian" to be relatable (because we've all been there), but I can't vibe with her nor do I see her have any real chemistry with her two love interests. Then again, I personally just find it annoying when people constantly apologize and aren't direct with what they want or want to know, so I'm probably just projecting my own preferences onto MC.

While I do agree that the resolution was really weak (and kind of anti-climactic, let's be real), the way Sora's mother handled it was actually pretty realistic. My parents were neglectful, too. Whenever parenting got too hard or something involving me obstructed their personal plans, they had a "fuck this" attitude and would either leave me to figure it out myself or throw money at it for a quick fix-up. The ultimatum she gave Sora is also similar to the kinds my parents gave me, too, when I started reaching adulthood.

So, needless to say, as much as I wish for the climax to be a little more dramatic, it's still cathartic to see Sora's mother leave and I'm happy that Ayaka and Sora are finally together.

^ Reine is actually the second tallest at 172cm. So, everyone else besides Coco would be bumped down.
And yeah, I always wondered if no one ever noticed that Ina is actually around Ame's height once you take away her shoes. That's kinda cute, imo.

Honestly, the only character I like so far is Jisoo. I'm always a sucker for misunderstood loners who look badass on the outside but are actually sweet on the inside.

MC is kind of a douche. If a friend (even if it's someone like Hwayeon) tells you that someone beat them up on the first day of school to the point where they got a nosebleed, you don't go, "Yeah, but she seems nice and we don't know her side of the story" to their face. And Hwayeon is just...annoying. Clingy, jealous, manipulative people are not my cup of tea, even in fictional works.

We're still pretty early in the story, so I'll keep reading, if only because Jisoo and her bike are really cool.

I knew what would happen since I saw the mother appearing at the end of the last chapter. I did not know how over-the-top it will be. Brutal slap on page 3, provoked by literally two short sentences on the part of Sora...

I know some parents are like this, but within the context of the story, it felt like it came from left-field. I knew the mother was going to be overbearing and controlling, but I was expecting a "watch your attitude and don't talk back to me, young lady" kind of mother, not a backhand slap just because Sora said it was too sudden and unfair.

Ina's actually pretty short, too, if you take away her shoes. She's 157cm/about 5'2'' with her shoes on, which means she's probably actually around Ame's height.

I actually really like Ina and Amelia's dynamic a lot. I feel like the mellowness of Ina and the gremlin-ness of Amelia not only balance each other, but they also bring out different qualities. Ina's mischievous, playful side comes out more and Amelia's calmness and considerate side is more noticeable.

Underrated ship. We need more fan art of these two.

I personally ship them platonically. They act like actual siblings whenever they're in the same collab and will even roast each other in their solo streams. But I can see why people ship them romantically, too. Either way, AmeSame is a good, wholesome pair.

I'm new to this. Can anyone tell me why Tomoe only calls Kana as "Sukoya-san" and not "Kana-san"?

Tomoe mentioned in a stream (forgot which one. Sorry...) that she calls Kana by her last name because Kana debuted before her. Basically, it's a work-related senpai-kouhai formality, and they just got used to it.

^^They really are, though. I found them completely by accident and fell into Vtuber Hell. I've been here for a few weeks now and see no way out, but that's okay because there is a lot of yuri content here.

^^Their visit to the Minecraft JP server was basically two siblings pulling pranks on each other. It was hilarious lol
