many webtoons have what I would characterize as a parkour civilization conception of social hierarchy

I don't understand that reference. Could you explain?

I would also like to learn more. ^^

Maybe they memory wipe the general in order to prevent any leaks of classified intel? That's all I can think of as to why they'd do such a thing

A much cheaper way to prevent leaks is to just shoot her in the head. The military is nothing if not efficient, and they have all the guns. At the very least, if they care so much about what the former general might have known, they should not put her amnesiac self in the vicinity of enemy officers, who (as the first chapter demonstrates) can take her captive without any resistance from anyone present. In short, this whole premise still makes zero sense apart from titillating and gratifying a very particular set of kinks. ^^

I genuinely hate authors that think "you did these deeds, so there for you being a slave / sexually abused is justified".

While I am guessing this story is primarily an expression of the authors' fetishes, from the world-building perspective, I find it strange that a soldier would keep such petty grudges against another soldier, especially if they are both generals. Also, why memory-wipe a commanding general for losing a war? If they committed war crimes, sure, arrange a tribunal or hand her over to the winners directly; otherwise, just demote them. Surely, the state has more profitable jobs for a highly-educated, star-ranked veteran than prostitution?

It's like someone wanted to slap some military uniforms onto their BDSM-themed catgirl porn without knowing the first thing about warfare.

Why did the witch woman healing convince Hanako witches are real, but Sada floating did not?

Floating people are normal, if unrealistic in modern Japan.

I love how her shoulder angel and devil were both on the exact same page, the angel just wanted her to give a heads up before taking a peak.

So they are basically not an angel and a devil, but more like Paragon and Renegade...

Yet more evidence that all Chinese lesbians are impossibly gorgeous. And rich, or at least high-status.

No kidding. I'd gladly swap lives with them.

Even though you will never again be able to kiss without a bright light suddenly erupting from your lips every time? :-)

Good work, tiny wingwoman

That awkward moment when the two of you have already f*cked each other silly, but still need some kid's encouragement to k-kiss (so lewd!).

the thing people are missing is that Evie always finds a reason to get in the way of her own desires. Like always. She always finds an excuse and a big part of the manga has been her learning to not make excuses anymore in order to live her life.

Basically this. Back in the days when she had still been actually useless, there was a reason why we called her the Neutronium Girl.

This last pages were way too lewd.

The twist was good, but what really hooked me was Houjou herself. Being somewhat of a depressed bore myself, I have a great fondness for go-getter protagonists.

I'm not sure how many of that camp we have left reading, but I would expect most to have not survived this arc.

I believe you underestimate the number of people who keep reading a series just so they can go to the forums after every new chapter to inform everyone how much they hated it. :-)

I really like the Imouto-Lapis Switcheroo theory.

i wanna see them fight. lapis are you gonna do something about that challenge bc i reaaaaally want to see it.

OK, bear with me: Upon hearing this, Lapis decides to join the opposing team, and the two duke it out in the finale, only to be evenly matched. The referees eventually declare them joint winners and they decide to enter a Natori sharing agreement for the time being.

Though I've categorized Systems into types for easier understanding, in reality, authors can choose to mix them up however they want, so don't be too surprised if something in here doesn't fit with whatever story you're reading.

And of course this isn't all there is about Systems, and I haven't even talked about Administrators yet. But I think I will stop here for now. I will write more If people like this enough/are curious about Administrators!

Also, do excuse any grammar errors/typos you may find, I'm too lazy to edit this XD

That was very helpful! I haven't read many System stories beside PBMMV, but it fits into your categorization quite neatly. Can you please explain how System is different from System Administrator genre?

The rivals to lovers element is fun. Forget the straight girl you're fighting over and date each other instead, the best way to move on and find love in that situation haha

It is not stated outright, but I suspect that she was the "friend who got married" on the first page, which is what put them both in such pensive moods.

How did getting hit on the head make their clothes tear?

That was the exact point where the critical part of my brain has officially shut off and let me enjoy this insanity for what it is. :-)

So, is Villainess x Tsundere the endgame here, or is it just me?

Aren't fox spirits supposed to gain tails with age and power? How did she already have 9 when she was a little kid?

I think that part was specific to the Japanese folklore (kitsune), while the Chinese fox spirits come in many forms, some of which are nine-tailed, without it indicating a particular age.

Also, remind me what a "second sister" is supposed to be?

From what little I know about traditional Chinese forms of address, I believe it means she is the second-eldest daughter of their parents.

Looking back at Chapter 5.5, I'm curious about something...

Wasn't Charlotte's reaction to Clair removing the cream from her cheek a bit sus? It certainly felt a bit different from your typical sibling relationship.

Yup, Charlotte is definitely siscon for her "onee-sama". Can you blame her, though?

I love how serious Germans are about bread.

From my experience living in Germany, Germans x Bread is OTP. I never heard of anyone else who considers eating bread with butter and tea a proper dinner, but Abendbrot is a thing.

I don't like however how everyone here is just saying it's abusive and just bashing on the story though, it's just adding onto the stigma of mental health.
I don't know, maybe I'm just seeing things wrong as I have BPD myself (as well as autism) so from my viewpoint I don't see things as negatively. If anything I sympathize with Sayumi, although she definitely should have communicated things better to Jun.
Remember folks, in relationships like this, communication is key.

I agree that communication is key, but I also think that Sayumi and Jun's relationship is abusive. Even if Sayumi is suffering from undiagnosed BPD, it's not an excuse for shoving her partner to the ground and then physically hurting her. While I sympathize with Sayumi, she stepped way over the line into domestic violence, and this has not been addressed for the rest of the storyline.

That said, Jun is not entirely blameless here, either. Because she loves Sayumi so much, she has great difficulty with setting and enforcing boundaries with her. She lets Sayumi off the hook for all the possessiveness and toxic talk until things get physical -- and then she slaps her back, going from 0 to 100 all at once. Even in the end, it looks like she will just let things slide again, allowing the cycle to continue.

It's funny how Luxi is a boss in social interactions but slips right into the subspace at the slightest provocation from Tongtong. Is that what they call a "power bottom", or does this term mean something else (honestly curious)?

Misa: Partly losing control; partly trying to 'help' by replacing rape memories with, uh, forcedful dom memories; and 100% saved by "she likes it anyway".

Indeed. Kinda relieved that Misa is not a shitty person, after all, just one big fuckup of a partner. Fuckups are eventually fixable -- and she does owe Io a lot after this.

In other news, Io's mom should be locked up for the good of society.

I find it hard pressed to see the Yuri in this one. Felt more subtextie.

They want to spend the rest of their lives together, preserving their precious feelings—they are: Super-Roommates!

I guess author-san could have thrown an “Isn’t the moon beautiful?” scene in there, just to seal the deal.

It felt like really close friends or super roommates like you said, ha!

You could even say they are Gal pals. :-)
