I remember fans of this manga (myself included) having a good laugh back when people were freaking out over The Executioner and Her Way of Life

I don't know anything about it directly. Is Rings of Power actually bad or just "bad" because people hate that it's woke or whatever the fuck, or that it has wrong skin colors?

Entirely on it's own merits, it's alright. It's well-made, but dragged down by some weird plot decisions. From an obsessive Tolkein nerd perspective, it is fairly heretical

I thought S2 was a bit of a downgrade, but it was still decently enjoyable

Shiori seems so cool and smart, and this makes me furious because she's like if I lacked any of my character flaws and instead was just straight up a cool nerd.

Pretty certain Shiori has problems with social anxiety. Observe her giving a "don't ask for collabs" speech on debut and actively angling for a parasocial relationship with chat. She also comes off as kind of autistic. And, you know, constantly jokes about her mental health

I just hope she doesn't stream genshin impact lol no one wants to see dailies.

I don't think she can; Hololive has pretty thoroughly cut ties to China. I was honestly surprised she even mentioned it

Shiori is sorta the opposite of what you'd expect from the agency: Edgy, openly menhera, pretty straight, and much more into the sort of things you'd expect from a tumblr denizen than a vtuber. Also seems like she's aiming to be a GFE streamer?

Bijou, on the other hand, is sort the crystallization of Hololive: Singer/gamer/comedian gremlin who also enjoys flirting with girls. She is great and I expect her to be the next big hit

Nerissa is a fantastic singer. And a cool and calm onee-san as a streamer. Personally I'm hoping the dorky side we see in her xeets shows up more on-stream

The manga is a shounen battle series, in which they're supporting characters. Opinions on the story's quality aside, you're not going to be getting much yuri

I mean, the anime is pretty slow. Which is why you should read the manga

I'll agree that their relationship wasn't great in the main story, but the museum event did a lot to sell me on it

The robot fight to politics to drama ratio varies widely depending on the series. G-Witch was especially drama-heavy

...I mean, morally you're correct. Realistically, Hololive is very much an outlier and most talent agencies act more like Nijisanji, prioritizing the proven successes and leaving the rest to rot. Ichikara copied it's business model from the music industry. The main difference is that Nijisanji livers are all explicitly part of the same group, making the difference in treatment much more obvious
