@jaunelric, the second season was pretty terrible unfortunately. I don't really know the source material, but it felt like they tried to rush through a volume or four to get to better stories and wound up just making a jumbled mess.

Yea... Me and my friend tried to watch the second season but we tapped out at around the second or third episode. It was just such a clusterfuck. The first season wasn't anything grand, but it had a decent pacing and some cool action. And those two lovely ladies in the picture went on a date, got engaged, and adopted 2 furbabies (I know one is a tortoise) in like a span of two episodes which was great. But the second season? Hard pass.

@haganbmj Yes, they very much did do just that. The 5th and 6th volumes were compressed into 3 episodes with several changes to the source material

And it's surprising how ? It's nothing new that LN adaptations to animes get parts removed entierly for the sake of pace so the anime can end on a good point. Also the pic is great and season 2 was enjoyable.

Issues aside I still found season 2 cute and entertaining personally. Also I always love to see art of these two together, I wish they got more ship art in general.

The second season... Yeah, way too rushed (and with some very questionable animation/CGI) at the start, and cut out some moments I was really looking forward to, although looking back, I can understand it to an extent as otherwise they would have stopped in the middle of an event. Still, there's better ways to handle this, we've seen enough series stretch a season to 15 episodes when necessary - may even have been worth it to go for full two cours with this one.

^Oh, there's definitely a possibility for a third as well, not sure there's enough source LN for it yet, though.

There is a well-known fic called social skills that does their romance pretty well with a lot of action scenes mixed in. It has been worked on for like two years.
