I always thought this had a real ominous ending... until you realise she's upset, went to bed and sulk

Because it's a one-shot it feels bad, with the ending being very "final" hence why the default assumption is that she either died or left. But realistically speaking there are plenty of ways for them to make up, fortunately. We're just left to imagine them~

Although I'm not going to pretend that I won't immediately go read something that shows a happy couple.

I don't really see this as sad, more incomplete.

I don't see any evidence she killed herself. But it's possible she might have left her. Way I figure what actually happens is she gets back from her work trip finds her girlfriend has left her. They both discovered that they've been hurting each other and promised to be more honest and communicate with each other.

Like I said not a sad ending just incomplete.

"record breaking long jumping to conclusions" is perhaps my new favourite phrase thanks to this thread

The first time I read that ending I just assumed that bi woman was living in misery, like "in her bedroom listening to fireworks dwelling in loneliness and agony" level of misery, due to how the last panel was drawn.

And the comments just assume she died due to suicide.

wtf.

I'm getting mighty, mighty sick of the biphobia running around. Gonna start handing out one-day bans on sight from now on (including in this thread) and longer bans if they continue.

And maybe erasing the post so it doesn't hurt the eyes of the lucky ones who haven't read them yet.

tbh it's been quoted so much now that I'd have to delete half the discussion. Better for folks just to move on and engage with the actual story.

Mods can edit out part of the comment, right? That's how "quoting links from commercialized comic sites" are removed. Just leave a note "(biphobic comment removed)" so people know what happened here.
