The 8chan guy said that the symbol goes beyond Nazi Germany, which was a bold faced lie. Their symbol is literally the Nazi emblem, they just replaced the swastika with their two headed snake thing. Then they said that it was just an ironic meme, which, like all memes, needs to die eventually.
