I love this artist's Love Live works, but they used to have a really huge collection of Touhou stuff too that they've since deleted. Why do artists do that? I understand leaving a particular fandom, but why would they take down all of their old works?

Seems to be how the fandom culture is in Japan from what my friend told me. Once they move onto a new fandom, they like completely abandon the old one. They delete old works or create a completely new pixiv, etc for the new stuff.

Seems like a waste to me.

I was looking at this artist’s Danbooru page and it seems that most of their websites have been deleted. The only two that haven’t are one of their Twitter accounts (which is blocked) and their DeviantArt account (which hasn’t been used since 2016).
