And then there's the timing. How'd she time it? Even Lily only just noticed the truck and the truck didn't notice the Hokuto. She'd need some mad next lvl 1337 skillz to fake that shit.

"shut your mouth you illegitimate child" oh those narrative devices for giving the reader specific information through lines of dialog which would never happen in reality.

I'm pretty sure that in this context she'd be called a "bastard" instead, but that might be ambiguous since it's also used as a slur. Is this only in the translated version or does the japanese text sound artificial as well?

Funny, the client I took care of for a year and a half, who was paralyzed from the bottom of the ribcage down, sat up just fine on his own. It depends a lot on where the nerve damage occurs.
