^that's really just the MC though. In narrative canonical terms pretty much everyone else is actually busy doing their own shit at home (more often than not their literal day jobs) when they aren't specifically involved in the current quest.
The usual Gameplay and Story Segregation thing with these kinds of setups.

And since alot of 'em explicitly know each other from backstories and only too often get a fair bit of suggestive shipteasing... well, people ship characters for far less. This very image section stands as Exhibit A of that.
