I think Honoka and Maki would actually work out, even if they aren't lovers. We all know Honoka's like "lol idc you have to do it anyways" and she'll drag Maki around and the junior would simply give up and comply to her every wishes. And Honoka wanting to sleep together is like a normal occurrence. Maki would be shy and go all tsun on her at first but she'd eventually give up because Honoka's smile is what weakens her the most. (weakens everyone, actually)

Honoka actually has a lot of good points, even though her 'defining' trait is being normal. It's just that Honoka herself doesn't see it. She doesn't see what other people see in her. She only sees what's in front of her. That's probably why Dense!Honoka works out so well. She belittles herself to the point that she could see nothing... 'special' about her. Everyone else sees it, but she doesn't. She could see the limitless potential of others, she could see the future where everything is amazing, she could see things that other people couldn't even fathom, heck she BROUGHT everyone to the top to see view from the stage, yet couldn't see the fine points of herself. And that's why Kotori and Umi knows her so much. All the good points out of Honoka's view, they could pick it out instantly. They know everything about Honoka. The good, the bad, the 'Honoka'. They'll whip her into shape until she can proudly say she loves herself.
