Is the anime really worth watching for Yuri action??

I think the gayness only start to pick up later, so won't recommend the anime.

But yeah Tomoko is basically one of those (literally) loser main protagonist, who somehow is also a chick magnet. And despite constantly trying to be popular with guys to fit the norm, she's gay as hell too

Great thing about Watamote is that all the relationships developed slowly and believably though (except maybe Ucchi, but if she was a repressed lesbian then it makes sense that she would latch onto what she thinks is a potential lesbian relationship). None of that ‘because s/he was kind bullshit.

To me Kumiko's love for Asuka is more sisterly than anything (and I ship Asuka with Kaori anyway), and I don't like Reina with Taki (mainly due to the huge age gap, but anyway), and I have no idea who is Shuuichi, so I'll stick to KumiRei forever.

I really like the string of saliva between them. I think I needa watch everything about touhou project because I barely even know half of the people listed (>_<｡)

Don't read too much into risingstar3110's post, Tomoko isn't definitively gay and none of the characters (save Ucchi) are explicitly attracted to her... at least not yet.

The anime doesn't get much in the way of yuri. There are a few instances of Tomoko perving out/sexually harassing one of her friends that carried over from the manga. But the heavy subtext doesn't begin in the manga until long after the anime stops covering it.

If you're looking for that, start reading the manga at chapter 69. However I strongly recommend starting from the beginning, as the series relies heavily on continuity and callbacks that allow it to build very compelling characters and relationships between them.

I decided to ship Kancolle girls only with other girls in the same class even if/when it's considered incest (like in this case) unless there aren't other/enough ships in the same class (which is why I ship Naka with Haguro, as I ship Sendai with Jintsuu, and I ended up shipping Myoukou with Hatsukaze since that's one less ship in the Myoukou class), and this is one of the best Kancolle ships. Fite me whoever disagrees.

If you have trouble enduring the cringe, it helps to take the series a few chapters at a time with breaks in between.

Even as a fan of cringe comedy, if I try to binge read the series I can only make it to volume 3 before I start contemplating suicide.

The Discord has a larger population and is generally more active, plus I know several users there are fans of the series and there have been discussions on the topic in the past.
